I'm guessing Russell Simmons because Harrell is dead. However, Simmons is already neck deep in troubles, so he may be too easy of a guess…

After his rap duo disbanded, Mr. Harrell went to work for Rush Management, run by Russell Simmons, who was also the head of the titanic rap label Def Jam. Mr. Harrell ascended to vice president and general manager — working with artists like Run-DMC, LL Cool J and Whodini — before setting out on his own to found Uptown Records.

Sexual misconduct, assault and rape allegations

Simmons even has sway with Oprah

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/17/movies/oprah-winfrey-russell-simmons-movie.html

Ms. Winfrey acknowledged that Russell Simmons pushed her to abandon a documentary about his accusers, but said her own concerns led her to pull support.

Jan. 17, 2020

For months, the filmmakers Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering had a pair of dream partners: Oprah Winfrey and Apple, who had committed to back their documentary about women who have accused the hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons of sexual misconduct. Booked for the Sundance Film Festival and Apple’s new streaming platform, the film was primed to be the next high-profile media moment of the #MeToo era.

Then the film’s future was abruptly cast into doubt last week after Ms. Winfrey withdrew as executive producer and pulled it from Apple, citing creative differences with the directors and suggesting that the picture was being rushed to Sundance “before I believe it is complete.”

But what preceded Ms. Winfrey’s announcement was more than just a dispute over filmmaking. It involved an intense campaign by Mr. Simmons and his supporters to get Ms. Winfrey to pull the plug. That campaign also targeted some of the women in the film on social media and, in at least one case, through direct contact with a family member, in what the women viewed as attempts to threaten and intimidate them ahead of the film’s premiere at Sundance, still scheduled for Jan. 25.

Ms. Winfrey acknowledged to The New York Times that Mr. Simmons had tried to get her to abandon the project. “He did reach out multiple times and attempted to pressure me,” Ms. Winfrey said….

Jay Z and Diddy have his back. Probably his underlings

And it’s telling that Simmons has recently appeared on programs controlled by fellow hip-hop moguls Jay-Z and Diddy, two people who have openly and actively supported Black Lives Matter and #MeToo yet remain silent concerning the allegations against their industry pal.

“When I see men actively protect a Russell, it makes me question what they are hiding in their past,” says Abrams. “And what’s particularly telling is the subtle way that these men are signaling their support of Russell. They are not coming straight out and saying we stand by him, and did not join in with 50 Cent when he went on the attack over the film. They’re using their substantial media businesses to shut down discourse around the pervasiveness of sexual violence in the hip-hop community, and clearly signal to Black women that our lives and our issues don’t matter.”

She adds, “If you love Black women, if you believe Black women, then you do not give people like Russell a platform to talk about social justice.”

I know, the daily beast is garbage…
