I suspect one source is waterborne as the concentration of Moonbats is greater near large bodies of water. Another source is government and acadamia as those areas also harbor a sizable concentration of the same. This is only a hypothesis.
The morning and evening reasons are a distraction. What it really does is change the time the sun crosses the meridian. Why is that important? I don't know, but somebody does.
The correct time is when the sun is directly south (on the meridian) it is noon. This is the ancient timing of the day. It is the middle of the day.
