Because I had building management loosen a dangling girder at One Liberty plaza after I had the whole bottom area cleared and taped off. The Globe was probably moved there by heavy machinery beforehand. When the girder landed it nicked the globe and sent it flying across the mound; that is why. Analyze the picture, those girders you see in the first pics could not have made that nic, it was a much larger girder. This is not guessing this is testimony.
