You have to figure it out by your own merit. If you can't figure it out then you need to do some soul searching instead of being spoon fed. But here is two spoonfuls because I know that the real problems of this world stems from laziness of which I have given discourses on already.

If you cannot prove that your prayers work, then it would be better for you to go out and take action and change the world by your blood, sweat, and tears. After a duration of personal sacrifices you maybe led into truth by Grace itself, then you will find that prayers will start to work.
