Monitoring 2-BASG and 2-RNWL.

Mil air traffic over EU is insane right now. It is because of an ongoing NATO exercise (pic). Thankfully this is the last day, until the next one.

I can't monitor that many potentially spoopy French AF Dassaults etc. Movements under cover of the exercise are possible, but most of the air traffic is probably due to the exercise.

Planefag report re: EU Part 1.

1. Belgian AF over Greece. Prob part of NATO exercise but it's far from where the rest of the action is.

1. 2-RNWL flew from Isle of Guernsey N over UK without landing, turned around and back to Guernsey. ???

1. Royal Saudi AF flying a strange pattern circa Blackpool, UK over the water. Saudi is not part of NATO yet I presume this flight pattern is somehow coordinated with the NATO exercise?

1. 2-BASG departed from Geneva and we lost it over Poland moments ago. Best guess: it's still in the air flying ENE.

1. 2-NYAW flew out of Iasi, Romania and is currently going WNW over Slovakia(?).

There is a scene in Starship Troopers (the novel but not the movie) where a couple of the lads get duty to travel to an urban area (Seattle?) on business. This after several months of hard core training. They get jumped by 5 guys and quickly lay them all out. One of the 2 narrates, "We hadn't realized how good we had become." (paraphrase)
