Dont have a dog in this race, so I see it for what it has been. He pushed the fuck out it before it was a 100% prime time super-weapon. I don't see any alternative myself if it was incoming no way to stop. He turned us into a torpedo. Otherwise, nothing else reconciles. My 2 cents.
