The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland collapsed early Tuesday morning after a cargo ship collided with and took out a support column. The Key Bridge is a major commuter route carrying the Baltimore Beltway I-695 over the Patapsco River at the southern end of the Baltimore Harbor. There are no official reports on casualties as of this writing. There are unconfirmed reports of several cars in the water as well as construction workers unaccounted for. Report: Prince Harry Named in Diddy Sex Trafficking Lawsuit

Prince Harry’s name appeared in multiple U.S. court filings related to a $30 million lawsuit that claims rap and business mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sexually abused men and women and also participated in sex trafficking activities.
The lawsuit was filed by record producer Rodney Jones, who named Prince Harry an affiliate of Combs.
Jones claims Diddy used his affiliation with Prince Harry, along with other big-time stars, to give himself and his associates legitimacy when throwing sex-trafficking parties.
The court documents, however, do not name Harry as a defendant.

The UK court is requesting assurances from the US around Assange’s First Amendment rights, and that he would not receive the death penalty by the US government for leaking classified documents.
This is strange, since the Biden family can hold and release classified material to business associates but not Julian Assange?
If the US fails to give assurances, Assange, an Australian citizen, will be able to appeal his extradition in May.

The story was broken by the New York Times, that analyzed three days of footage from four cameras at the Hungarian embassy.
The images show Bolsonaro arriving on the evening of Monday, February 12th, and leaving on the afternoon of Wednesday, February 14th.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has picked Nicole Shanahan, a California-based attorney who was previously married to Google co-founder Sergey Brin, as his running mate for his long-shot presidential bid, according to people familiar with the decision.
Shanahan, 38, also runs a foundation focused on reproductive rights, criminal justice and the environment.
Before backing Kennedy’s independent bid, Shanahan had previously been a donor to Democratic campaigns, including supporting Joe Biden’s election in 2020.
Kennedy was slated to announce his choice Tuesday in Oakland, Calif., where Shanahan grew up.
Shanahan, a political novice, was thrust into the spotlight over her public split with Brin amid a brief alleged affair she had with Elon Musk in 2021 that ruptured the billionaires’ long friendship, The Wall Street Journal reported.
After the article published, Musk denied the allegations and Shanahan later followed suit.
It isn’t clear yet whether Shanahan plans to assist by tapping into her own wealth.

In order to make good on the threat, the EU is putting to use its censorship law – the Digital Services Act (DSA).
Commissioner for Internal Market Thierry Breton is quoted as saying that platforms like X, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube and Facebook, but also search engines, must operate according to the guidelines that are currently being drafted.
Reports say that companies behind these platforms and services could be forced to pay fines of up to 6 percent of their global revenue unless they fight “disinformation” related to elections.
This figure specifically concerns whatever is designated as AI or deepfakes-based “disinformation.”
Tech companies are expected to “take measures and mitigate risks,” Breton, who is DSA’s “enforcer,” said. The Brussels bureaucrats speak about this as moderation, rather than censorship, and have decided to consider this year as “pivotal” when it comes to elections.
And the EU is in a hurry to start mandating the rules – reports say this could happen in the next few weeks. It will be possible to enforce the guidelines thanks to their inclusion in the DSA, and they will come into force as soon as they are adopted. Continue…

Greek PM wants Canadian LNG as projects prepare to ship gas by next year

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed interest in purchasing liquified natural gas from Canada while on his first visit to Canada.
While giving an interview in Montreal on CTV’s Question Period the Greek prime minister said that his country was “of course” interested in buying LNG from Canada.
Mitsotakis’ visit marks the first time a Greek prime minister has travelled to Canada in over 40 years.
“We are a big entry point for LNG, not just for the Greek market, but also for the Balkans, for Eastern Europe,” said Mitsotakis. “Theoretically, we could even supply Ukraine.”
According to Natural Resources Canada, the country currently has eight LNG projects “in various stages of development” with the first export facility scheduled to begin exporting shipments to Asia in 2025. Continue…

The carbon tax revolt continues with a wave of protests against the Trudeau government’s controversial policy is set to unfold across Canada, including on Parliament Hill.
The protests will happen Apr. 1, the same day the carbon tax is set to rise by 23% from $65 per tonne to $80 per tonne.
In Ottawa, local organizers have received a permit to hold a rally in front of Parliament. The permit authorizes, among other things, the use of two 300-watt speakers and flags.
Across Canada, more disruptive highway protests are being organized on the outskirts of major cities and at interprovincial borders.
Organizers with a group called the “Nationwide Protest Against The Carbon Tax Administration” say protesters might partially block certain roadways to slow down traffic.
They, however, say the blockades will not be total like the ones seen in Alberta and Southern Ontario during the Freedom Convoy. “At least one centre lane (will be) open for traffic.”

Huajie Xu was an instructor at a military academy that aids the People’s Liberation Army’s cyber warfare capabilities, according to new reporting.
A man who worked for the benefit of China’s cyber warfare department and spent 20 years in uniform as a member of the Chinese military is currently residing in Winnipeg, reports Global News.
Huajie Xu was able to obtain permanent residency three years ago after arriving at Vancouver’s airport. He reportedly told immigration officers that the reason he was moving to Canada was he discovered “the air quality is better in Canada.”
Despite denying any involvement in direct espionage or cyber warfare efforts conducted by China, Xu admitted to being an instructor at a military academy that the Canadian government describes as posing “the highest risk to Canada’s national security.”
The Chinese Communist Party is known to be one of the regimes most consistently targeting Canadian residents, companies, and government with cyber attacks.

“You need the bill to vote on it,” said Senator Elizabeth Marshall, a former provincial auditor.

Nvidia, the tech company that is just about singlehandedly propping up the entire United States stock market, announced this week that it has the capacity to start building human-like robots to replace people.
In a public release, Nvidia said it is planning to release a software and hardware platform that utilizes generative artificial intelligence to construct transhuman robots, complete with a suite of software tools like genAI. Calgary church to feature all-ages drag show during Easter service

In a supposed show of solidarity for the LGBT community, the Calgary Unitarian Church is hosting an all-ages drag show for their Easter services this year.
“Easter Sunday Service has never been so LIT! DRAG Queen Performances and story time for all ages, singing, dancing, and so much more,” reads the church’s Eventbrite page, titled “DRAG Me to Church: What does TRANSformation mean today?”
According to a Facebook post from Calgary Unitarians, the Easter service drag show is intended to be “thought-provoking” and is being done as a “sacred act of protest” as they explore the concept of “TRANSformation”.
Additionally, rather than taking collections for the church, all proceeds will be going to a non-profit that supports the trans community through activism and legal action. Continue…
