I absolutely LOVE this story, more than you can possibly imagine. It captures as few others do how Leftists deny the humanity of those they claim to care for.

So what's the story? In Vancouver, one of the most beautiful and liberal cities in North America, Indigenous communities control some prime tracts of land.

They have decided to maximize the value of that land by building massive skyscrapersquite attractive ones, actuallyto increase the housing stock in a region notorious for housing shortages. Because they hold sovereignty over the land they don't need permission from their neighbors and the powers-that-be, which, you would imagine, is something the decolonizing Left would appreciate.

Except, of course, they don't. Indigenous people are supposed to wear face paint, build totems, and worship heathen gods or something. They are supposed to be the antithesisthe utter rejectionof the modern world. And nothing says modern Western culture like skyscrapers built out of glass, steel, and concrete.

The reporter behind a Radio-Canada investigation that found gender clinics were quickly rushing teens into chemically transitioning with puberty blockers is standing by her reporting in the face of an onslaught of criticism.

While speaking on Tout le Monde en Parle, Radio-Canada journalist Pasquale Turbide said that concerns from parents prompted the investigation.

“Parents began writing to us last summer, when there was a bit of a controversy about names, pronouns, all-gender bathrooms, etc,” said Turbide in French.

“But the letters we were getting were not about those issues, they were talking about medical transitions.”

According to Turbide, a few of the parents contacting Radio-Canada had children who claimed they were transgender and were being offered puberty blockers by medical practitioners.

The day before her scheduled death, he was successful in receiving a temporary injunction after pleading that his daughter “suffers from autism and possibly other undiagnosed maladies that do not satisfy the eligibility criteria for MAID.”

No medical documentation has been provided to the court justifying her approval.

The father worries that his daughter’s decision was influenced, but his daughter’s lawyer claimed that “while this is sad, it does not give him the right to keep her alive against her wishes.”

Her lawyer, Austin Paladeau, additionally stated that the conclusion of whether she qualifies or not should be left up to the medical professionals and it’s none of her father’s business.

Sarah Miller, the lawyer for the father, called the situation “a novel issue for Alberta.”

A key topic was the advancement of Bill C-226, originally proposed by the Green Party’s Elizabeth May in 2021, titled “An Act respecting the development of a national strategy to assess, prevent and address environmental racism and to advance environmental justice.”

The 2024 Edelman Trust Barometer Canada report is part of an annual trust survey by the Trust Institute, a research initiative by the global public relations firm Edelman.

The survey engaged 1,500 Canadian respondents, covering attitudes towards media, politicians and scientists in 28 different countries.

Overall, trust in Canada was declining with Canada dropping one point from a rank of 53 to 52 in the index since last year.

A food bank employee from New Brunswick has revealed that a number of active Canadian military members are relying on food banks to survive the cost-of-living crisis.

The discovery comes after a viral video was posted to social media on Friday by Conservative MP Michelle Ferreri.

In it, Ferreri interviews a food bank worker from Oromocto Food Bank in Gagetown, located near Canada’s largest military base.

“How many military members from Gagetown – active people serving – are using your food bank?” Ferreri asked.

“About 40 to 50 families are using our food bank that are military members,” the employee responds. “I’ve been here for thirteen years and that number has gone up and up and up over the last four years.”
