Multiple intel sources: The Baltimore bridge collapse was an “absolutely brilliant strategic attack” on US critical infrastructure – most likely cyber – & our intel agencies know it. In information warfare terms, they just divided the US along the Mason-Dixon line, exactly like the Civil War.
The second busiest strategic roadway in the nation for hazardous material is now down for 4-5 years – which is how long they say it will take to recover. Bridge was built specifically to move hazardous material – fuel, diesel, propane gas, nitrogen, highly flammable materials, chemicals, and oversized cargo that cannot fit in the tunnels – that supply chain now crippled.
Make no mistake: this was an extraordinary attack in terms of planning, timing & execution.
The two critical components on that bridge are the two load-bearing pylons on each end, closest to the shore. They are bigger, thicker and deeper than anything else. These are the anchor points and they knew that hitting either one one of them would be a fatal wound to the integrity of the bridge.
Half a mile of bridge went in the river – likely you will have to build a new one. Also caused so much damage to the structural integrity of the bottom concrete part that you cannot see & won’t know until they take the wreckage apart. Structural destruction likely absolute.

The president of Mexico, in an interview, has confirmed what essentially appears to be his attempt to blackmail the United States into paying billions of dollars, or else the “flow of migrants will continue.”
A report at Fox News reveals that Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador earlier demanded a series of actions by the United States in order for him to try to cut off some of the millions of illegal aliens coming from Mexico into the United States across its southern border.
Then just days ago, he said in an appearance on 60 Minutes that if the U.S. fails to meet his demands, “The flow of migrants will continue.”
The report said Obrador, in recent weeks, has demanded that the U.S. give $20 billion a year to Latin American nations, lift sanctions on Venezuela, end the Cuban embargo and give legal status in America to the millions of Mexicans who already have entered illegally.

Angela Chao, the sister-in-law of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), died on Feb. 11 after backing her vehicle into a pond.
More details have since emerged, including that Ms. Chao was on the phone with a friend for eight minutes after her car hit the pond and was sinking, according to the Blanco County Sheriff’s incident report obtained by The Epoch Times.
The report also revealed Ms. Chao had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.233 percent, almost three times higher than the legal threshold of 0.08 percent for driving in Texas.
Ms. Chao, 50, was CEO of the U.S.-based family business, Foremost Group, and a previous top executive for a Chinese shipping giant and board member of China’s World Bank.
On February 10, Ms. Chao and seven female friends—many with home addresses in New York—had gathered for dinner and drinks at the guest lodge located on Ms. Chao’s private ranch, JW Ranch, in Blanco County, Texas.
“They had good conversation throughout the night and all were in good spirits,” the incident report states, according to statements from those present.
As the evening wrapped up, Ms. Chao decided to drive to the main lodge rather than take the short walk from the guest house.
Security cameras on the exterior of the lodge captured the moment Ms. Chao drove her car into the pond, according to two videos from different angles that were provided to investigators by the property manager.
The video from the south side camera shows Ms. Chao come into view alone at 11:37:02 p.m. as she “continues to walk unsteadily to her vehicle while continuing to hold her cellular phone in her right hand,” the police report states.
At 11:38:06 p.m. the vehicle lurches forward toward a wooden barrier, then reverses to the left and over the top of a limestone block wall, entering the water at 11:38:15 p.m.
The video from the west side camera showed the vehicle floating and spinning after entering water, at 11:41:52 pm the headlight disappears and reappears at 11:42:37 pm.
The report says at approximately 11:42 pm, Ms. Chao’s friend Amber Landeau-Keinan received a telephone call from Ms. Chao, who told her “in a calm voice” that she was in the “lake,” which was a stock tank, or pond, near the guest house.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada disclosed the figure following a query raised by Niagara Falls Conservative MP Tony Baldinelli in the House of Commons last month.
From Feb. 2023 to Feb. 2024, nearly 5,000 individuals seeking asylum were accommodated in the tourist city.
The majority of these asylum seekers originated from Nigeria, Venezuela, Kenya, Turkey, and Colombia.
Each refugee claimant was provided housing for 113 days, with the daily expenditure per individual amounting to $208.

The federal government has now spent nearly $42 million in taxpayer funds on its “firearms buyback program,” first introduced in 2020 to confiscate guns deemed illegal by the Liberals.
However, despite the costly spending, not a single firearm has been purchased from Canadians.
Conservative Sen. Don Plett filed an order paper question in September, asking Public Safety Canada to reveal how much money had been spent over the past four years on the program, which assigned 60 department employees to work on the project.
The response revealed that $41,094,556 had already been spent since 2020.
“This is a boondoggle, and it hasn’t even begun,” said Plett during the Senate question period on Friday.
“How can your government have spent $42 million on this, when not a single firearm has been bought back?” Plett asked government representative Sen. Marc Gold.

Canada was targeted by the same group of Chinese hackers currently facing widespread condemnation for cyberespionage against the United States and the United Kingdom, reported Canada’s electronic intelligence agency.
On March 25, the United States sanctioned the group known as Advanced Persistent Threat 31, or APT31, identified by the U.S. Justice Department as part of a Chinese Ministry of State Security cyberespionage program. The U.S. department has charged seven individuals associated with the group, which has allegedly spent approximately 14 years targeting both U.S. and foreign critics, businesses, and political officials.
Canada’s Communications Security Establishment (CSE) confirmed that this Chinese group has also targeted Canada.
“The Cyber Centre generally does not comment on specific cyber security incidents, however, we can confirm that we have seen malicious activity by this same threat actor targeting Canada,” CSE spokesperson Nayeli Sosa said in a statement to CBC News.

We think of radical Islam as something that happens in other countries, such as Hamas murdering innocent Israelis, or stories of honor killings of women in countries like Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan.
We like to believe that these sorts of abuses could never happen in our country.
But the truth is they do happen. Every day.
In Canada today there are Muslim extremists who marry multiple wives under Sharia law, and who treat those wives and their children by them like property. And when those women go to Canadian authorities for help, the vast majority of the time nothing is done because the ‘authorities’ fear being labelled as Islamophobic.
Even our courts have upheld the right of extremists to beat their own children.
Yasmine Mohammed is the author of the book Unveiled: How Western Liberals Empower Radical Islam.
Her story is a brutally honest account of her childhood and young life under the extreme abuses of a radical Islamist stepfather, and her forced marriage to an Al-Qaeda terrorist.

Compliance Rules
1) Deficit rule: a country is compliant if (i) the budget balance of general government is equal or larger than -3% of GDP or, (ii) in case the -3% of GDP threshold is breached, the deviation remains small (max 0.5% of GDP) and limited to one year.
2) Debt rule: a country is compliant if the general government debt-to-GDP ratio is below 60% of GDP or if the excess above 60% of GDP has been declining by 1/20 on average over the past three years.
3) Structural balance rule: a country is compliant if (i) the structural budget balance of general government is at or above the medium-term objective (MTO) or, (ii) in case the MTO has not been reached yet, the annual improvement of the structural balance is equal or higher than 0.5% of GDP, or the remaining distance to the MTO is smaller than 0.5% of GDP.
4) Expenditure rule: a country is complaint if the annual rate of growth of primary government expenditure, net of discretionary revenue measures and one-offs, is at or below the 10-year average of the nominal rate of potential output growth minus the convergence margin necessary to ensure an adjustment of the structural budget deficit in line with the structural balance rule.

According to the Global Terrorism Index 2024, a report by the Institute for Economics and Peace measuring the impact of terrorism around the world, deaths from terrorism rose to 8,352 globally in 2023, marking a 22 percent increase from the previous year.
However, as Statista's Felix Richter notes, that increase came despite a 23 percent drop in terrorist attacks, with fell to 3,350 in 2023. At the same time, terrorism has become more concentrated, as the number of countries recording at least one death from terrorism fell to 41 in 2023, down from 57 in 2015, when deaths from terrorism peaked. Last year, 10 countries accounted for 87 percent of global deaths from terrorism, with Burkina Faso, Israel and Mali alone accounting for more than 45 percent of fatalities.

A controversial measure to include $15 million for the electronic tracking of livestock has made it through Congress via the recently passed omnibus bill, raising fears among critics that the new system could be weaponized by the government to limit beef consumption.
American cattle rancher Shad Sullivan told The Epoch Times that he fears that the electronic tags will be the end of the small rancher.
“They are going to use it as a taxing mechanism to eventually control the livestock,” Mr. Sullivan said. “In the European Union, they used these measures under the guise of climate change lies to limit the cattle supply, and if they do that here, it will destroy our industry.
“If the tag mandate is implemented it will be the key to open the door to the gas chamber for independent ranching.”
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who owns livestock, also sounded the alarm that the move could lead to the erosion of the industry.
“The left wants to ban cattle and before you can ban anything you need a registry, you need to know where it’s at and who owns it and that’s why they want to tag cattle,” he said in a March 23 post on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. “We’ve seen it happen in Europe.” Continue…

The coming April 1 tax increase will see the current $65-per-tonne carbon price rise to $80 per tonne, a detail that Moe argued was never included in the original announcement.
“The carbon tax policy that was promised to cap out at $50 and is now $170 or who knows where now, combined with a number of other policies are creating uncertainty for the investment environment,” said Moe before the Government Operations and Estimates Committee on Wednesday.

The Ottawa Police Service has hired local law firm Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall to assist its discreditable conduct case against detective Helen Grus. On Monday, day 15 of Grus’ disciplinary tribunal, it was learned that firm partners Jessica Barrow and Lynda Bordeleau – former OPS chief Charles Bordeleau’s wife – have joined the prosecution.
They were retained by OPS after Grus’ defence team of Bath-Sheba van den Berg and Blair Ector filed a motion to have police’s lead counsel, Vanessa Stewart, tossed from the case for professional misconduct. During cross-examination of a defence witness last January, Stewart compared Grus’ calm demeanour to that of serial rapist and double murderer Russell Williams.
Other aspects of the motion included Stewart’s perceived conflict of interest with a prosecution witness who is her sister-in-law, and what the defence felt was a recalcitrant attitude towards negotiating Grus’ use of police documents in her defence.
Grus was charged with discreditable conduct on July 26, 2022 under Ontario’s Police Services Act, relating to what police allege was her “self-initiated and unauthorized project” involving her probe of increasing Sudden Infant Deaths and a possible link to COVID vaccines.
After more than a fortnight of hearing days, the most egregious aspect of Grus’ purported misconduct is telephoning one father of a SIDS victim to inquire about the vaccine status of the mother–this at a time when Ontario residents still had to show their vaccine passport to get a haircut or a restaurant meal.
According to Grus’ compelled statement, played on the opening day of the disciplinary tribunal, there were six SIDS cases in 2021, which she perceived as a two- or threefold increase compared to a typical year. At the time, she was a senior detective in OPS’ child abuse unit and part of her job included investigating sudden deaths of children five-and-under.
Though the Mar. 25 hearing day was intended to argue the motion to boot Stewart from the case, van den Berg offered to withdraw it without prejudice (allowing Grus’ defence to revisit the issue in future if need be), which tribunal adjudicator Chris Renwick allowed. Continue…

Maryland authorities on Wednesday said divers recovered two bodies during a search for the workers who plunged into the water after a cargo ship slammed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge on Tuesday.
Divers found a red pickup truck submerged under approximately 25 feet of water in the middle span of the bridge and found the two bodies trapped inside.
Maryland State Police Maryland State Police Superintendent Col. Roland Butler identified the victims as Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, 35, of Baltimore, and Dorlian Castillo Cabrera, 26, of Dundalk.
Four other construction workers remain missing, but are presumed dead. The victims were from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, Butler said.
All search efforts have been exhausted, and based on sonar scans, authorities “firmly” believe the other vehicles with victims inside are encased in superstructures and concrete from the collapsed bridge, Butler said.

Sam Bankman-Fried Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison for Fraud

Disgraced FTX CEO and Democrat Megadonor Sam Bankman-Fried on Thursday was sentenced to 25 years in prison for fraud after facing up to 100 years in jail. His sentence pales in comparison to fraudster Bernie Madoff, who received a sentence of 150 years for his financial crimes.
Judge Lewis Kaplan, who sentenced Bankman-Fried said that SBF committed witness tampering before he was remanded into custody when he communicated with former FTX general counsel. Kaplan also found that he committed perjury during his trial testimony; he reportedly falsely testified that he had no knowledge that Alameda Research, FTX’s sister company and hedge fund, had spent FTX customer deposits before the fall of 2022.
Kaplan also said that Bankman-Fried “wanted to be a hugely politically influential person in this country” and that led to his financial crimes.
