The SBU has targeted Orthodox journalists reporting on the country’s church crackdown

Several employees of the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ) have been subjected to raids by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the group said on Tuesday.

The UOJ has reported on the ongoing persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) by Kiev, which favors the government-backed Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU).

“UOJ employees were approached by the SBU agents, who seized their computer equipment and phones,” the group said on its Telegram channel, adding that no one had been charged with any offenses.

SBU agents have also visited participants in prayer vigils, the UOJ added. The union could not comment any further, but said it would offer more information as it becomes available.

The SBU has yet to comment on the raids. It has previously tried to have the UOJ’s website blocked inside Ukraine.

President Vladimir Zelensky’s government launched a crusade against the UOC last year, denouncing the canonical church as an “agent of Moscow.” Russia has protested against the crackdown as a violation of human rights, to little avail.

Last week, the SBU arrested a priest in the Cherkasy diocese and charged him with making “anti-Ukrainian and pro-Russian statements.” Archpriest Boris Brodovsky was accused of spreading “fake news” and religious discrimination, for criticizing the OCU seizures of UOC churches.

For months, multiple Ukrainian regions have been seizing UOC property and handing it over to the OCU on a variety of pretexts. The Ukrainian parliament has prepared a bill to ban the UOC, but has yet to vote on it. Critics have warned that such a move would endanger Kiev’s ambition to join the EU.

Special Counsel Robert Hur is testifying before Congress today.

Hur was subpoenaed in February to testify before Congress regarding his findings in the Joe Biden classified documents case.

Special Counsel Robert Hur last month released a 345-page report on his investigation of the stolen classified documents.

Biden’s stolen classified documents were scattered all over the place in damaged cardboard boxes and unlocked drawers at the Penn Biden Center. The documents were also easily accessible in Biden’s Delaware garage and basement den.

Robert Hur found that Joe Biden “willfully retained” classified information, however, he decided not to charge him. Hur said there is evidence Biden retained classified notebooks, “knowing he was not allowed to do so.”

The Justice Department defended not bringing charges against Biden because he’s a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

Lawless Marxist NY AG Letitia James Says Trump Has to Post Bond For Full $464 Million Judgment Before Appeal

New York Attorney General Letitia James argued Trump has to post bond for the full $464 million judgment before the appeal.

Late last month it was reported President Trump would post a $100 million bond and ask for a stay of the $464 million judgment in Letitia James Soviet-style NYC fraud trial.

“The exorbitant and punitive amount of the Judgment coupled with an unlawful and unconstitutional blanket prohibition on lending transactions would make it impossible to secure and post a complete bond,” Trump’s defense lawyers wrote in the filing last month. “Appellants nonetheless plan to secure and post a bond in the amount of $100 million.”

Trump claimed he would have to sell his properties at a loss to pay the $454 million fine.

Letitia James argued in a court filing on Monday that Trump could try to avoid paying the fine altogether.

“James argued that without a full bond, Trump could attempt to avoid paying the fine if his appeal fails. In her court filing, she rejected his suggestion that a bond isn’t necessary because his ownership interest in his 40 Wall St. tower alone was sufficient to pay the fine if he lost.” – Bloomberg reported.

“She said she wants to see proof that surety companies refused to accept the skyscraper as collateral and that sureties “have refused to accept this property, his other real estate interests, or his private jets or helicopters as collateral for an appeal bond.”” – Bloomberg reported.

Trump has until March 18 to respond to Letitia James.

Military transport plane crashes in Russia

An Il-76 was lost east of Moscow due to engine failure, the Defense Ministry has reported

An Ilyushin Il-76 military transport plane crashed in Russia on Tuesday, after one of its engines failed during take-off, the Defense Ministry has reported.

The aircraft had 15 people on board, including eight crew members and seven passengers, the statement said. The incident happened in Ivanovo Region, some 250km east of the capital of Moscow.

A video circulating online that was apparently filmed by an eyewitness shows the aircraft at low altitude with flames engulfing one of its four turbofan engines.

According to media reports, the plane’s pilot was trying to return to the Ivanovo Severny air base but was unable to do so. He apparently diverted the doomed aircraft away from a village, crashing it near a cemetery.

Israel Announces Death Of Kidnapped US Citizen By Hamas

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced the death of 19-year old Sgt. Itay Chen, a dual US-Israeli citizen who had been serving in the IDF.

Authorities have revealed for the first time that he was abducted and killed by Hamas on Oct. 7. His death had not been initially confirmed as Hamas had removed his body from the border outpost where he was killed.

"Chen served in the 7th Armored Brigade’s 75th Battalion, and his body was taken from the Gaza border, following a battle with terrorists during the Hamas onslaught," writes Israel National News.

The publication additionally noted that "The body of Chen, a US citizen, was stolen from the Nahal Oz base in the Gaza envelope where he served."

New undisclosed intelligence information reportedly came to light confirming his death, though his body still hasn't been handed over by Hamas or retrieved from the Gaza Strip.

A statement has been issued by President Biden which reads in part, "Today, as we join Itay’s parents, brothers, and family in grieving this tragic loss, we keep this reminder close to our hearts. And I reaffirm my pledge to all the families of those still held hostage: we are with you. We will never stop working to bring your loved ones home."

A statement by the Hostages and Missing Persons Families Forum said the following:

"We share in the profound grief of the Chen family. Itay Chen (19) was always surrounded by friends. A beloved individual who drew others to him with his warm presence. Itay loved the land, going on hikes, and was a senior instructor in youth movements - a salt of the earth person," a statement in his memory read.

Chen had reportedly contacted his family on the morning of the massacre and said a war had broken out, but contact was then lost. His family was told by the military that he was abducted with other troops, and his fate remained unknown. His family was among those who have met with President Biden early in the conflict.

An estimated 134 Israeli and foreign hostages remain in Gaza; however, it's unknown how many among these are still alive as the grinding war continues, and as the IDF stands ready for a ground offensive against the southern city of Rafah. There have been reports that Israeli intelligence believes at least 30 of these are already deceased.

Carol Miller (R-1) has been caught insider trading and violating the STOCK Act at least 57 times since she arrived in Washington in 2019, using her position in Congress to rake in hundreds of thousands of dollars on insider deals related to Big Pharma, the military-industrial-complex, and BlackRock, among others.

Rep. Carol Miller and her husband have been busted by multiple watchdog groups for insider trading with stocks in Big Pharma, BlackRock, and war lobby defense contractors, just to name a few, enriching herself and her family on the insider deals, which are banned under the STOCK Act.

Miller’s use of insider trading flexes the muscles of Congress and the D.C. swamp, as ordinary Americans who are convicted of the same practice can face up to 20 years in prison and $5 million worth of fines.

According to a 2022 report on the financial crimes of Congress, as Miller was calling on West Virginians to discriminate against those who didn’t receive the COVID jab and supporting legislation to force the jab into the arms of American servicemembers, she was insider trading with Big Pharma stocks and raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars doing so.

She was also insider trading stocks in the defense sector, as she voted to ramp up American aid and involvement in Ukraine, to the tune of over $40.1 billion in “emergency” appropriations for the Zelensky regime.

In particular, Cheney boosted the accusations by former Trump aide Cassidy Hutchinson, who claimed publicly — and to great media fanfare — that Trump had tried to commandeer his presidential vehicle to drive to the Capitol riot.
