BREAKING: Per DHS sources to me &

@GriffJenkins

, the Haitian man arrested for raping a 15 y/o disabled girl at a migrant hotel in Massachusetts Wednesday night came to the U.S. via the Biden admin’s parole program for Haitians, which allowed him to fly into JFK airport in NYC direct from Haiti in June 2023 w/ a 2 year parole grant. We’re told that ICE has now filed a detainer on 26-year-old Cory B. Alvarez with local authorities, & that he had a sponsor listed in New Jersey as part of his parole.

The Biden admin’s controversial CHNV parole program allows up to 30,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans to fly into the U.S. after they’ve supposedly been vetted and have a sponsor in the U.S.

The recipients typically receive two year “humanitarian parole” grants, which allow them to apply for work authorization and live in the U.S.

According to CBP data, at least 138,000 Haitians have been brought to the U.S. since the start of the Biden admin’s program in January 2023.

The Biden admin considers this program a “lawful pathway”, and the recipients bypass the border entirely, flying over it instead. The program is an effort to cut down on high numbers of illegal crossings at the border.

I reached out to CBP & DHS for comment yesterday, and have not heard back yet.

Civil rights attorney and talk radio host Robert Patillo plans to run against Fulton Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, who has been overseeing the high-profile election interference case against former President Donald Trump and others.

Patillo plans to qualify as a candidate for the position on Thursday, according to multiple people with knowledge who declined to speak on the record. He is the former executive director of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, the social justice and civil rights group founded by Rev. Jesse Jackson. He’s also a criminal defense attorney, cable news pundit and a former candidate for statehouse who has previously billed himself as a conservative Democrat.

Apple M1 chip has an 'unpatchable' security flaw, but don't panic just yet

The Apple M1 chip has been a wildly successful release for the Cupertino tech giant, but new research from MIT says that the chip powering everything from the Apple MacBook Pro to the latest iPad Air has a major security flaw that by its nature cannot be fixed in a security update.

The flaw was exposed in a new paper from MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) researchers and exploits something known as pointer authentification code (PAC). Essentially, PAC works by checking a digital signature to ensure that a program's code hasn't been changed maliciously.

PACMAN, the exploit that the MIT researchers designed, relies on a combination of software and hardware exploits that test whether a signature is accepted, and since there are only a finite number of possible signatures, it is possible for PACMAN to try them all, find out which one is valid, and then have a separate software exploit use that signature to bypass this final defense mechanism in the M1 chip.

The researchers tested this exploit against the system's kernel – the foundation of any operating system – and found that the exploit gave them kernel-level system access, meaning that it could give an attacker complete control over a system.
