Anyone have any idea how long it'll take for them to move all this physical equipment back from China once these businesses start penciling the math on these tariffs and then decide that it's worth manufacturing their stuff in the United States?
Based on some of what I've seen I think that, for example, there was a story I read on possibly Carrier moving their plant to Mexico, they shut down the plant and had it restarted in Mexico 2 weeks later????? 2 weeks sounds awfully fast, maybe a month?
So from China, the boat takes 6 weeks???? Dismantling the factory there takes 2-4 weeks???? Setting up a new factory here in the USA takes 2-4 weeks????
So…. 3 months from shutdown to startup for a Chinese to USA factory?

Would there be any issues with getting equipment back from China considering that the Chinese demanded a 1/2 stake in these companies or what ever it was?
More on this…. there are MANY MANY empty buildings all over America so clearly there will be some work in rehabbing buildings and getting them ready to go for these factories that haven't been there for 20-30 years as well.
