fame is manufactured.

pop stars have to sell out, it's a requirement for fame.

how does a band get to be that popular unless very powerful people are backing and promoting them?

It's pretty rare.

and then if they decide to be 'free' their fame all goes away.

so call it what you want, same with Perl Jam, who were studio musicians hired to play that style. They weren't authentic.

Do you think that the Beatles were just there because of their talent?

obviously if there is an element of manufactured fame with these people they still have to have talent and be able to perform.

The level of what one might call 'idolatry' is odious to a good person.

That's why people like Lennon tried to step away from it.

and people like Bono, who think that they really are 'all that' are kind of awful to many, even though obviously he makes good music.

with the Grateful Dead they had such a large group of people that were living off of them as they toured (their 'family', who were different and did not mingle wiht the dead heads) they didn't want to stop it even though they knew stuff was wrong as far as the drug use, etcettera.

Bob Wier practically does a confession about it in a documentary.

And someone like Kurt, his story is still not really revealed, as far as I can tell. I always wondered 'how does someone use a shot gun and shoot themself in the back of the head'?

but maybe I got the information wrong.

neither of those things seem friendly, anon.

it's possible that both you and who ever you are interacting with are treating each other poorly.

if you met him for real you might be friends.

He might be sitting at the desk right next to you.

maybe in an hour or two you two can go walk on the beach and hookup during lunch . . .

I don't listen to it and I understand that hypnosis is a lot of what he does, but you can't deny that millions of people seem to like the music.

He turns me off by how he acts like the second coming of John Lennon, as if he replaced him.

and Lennon turns me off now too, because I understand a lot better why he had such a guilt complex, and probably felt like he was partly a fraud.

as I said, idolatry is odious.

there you go, even though some of them didn't really like doing it, they did it anyway.

and some people want so much so that they pay a lot of money to have it.

very sick. I read that Harrison regreted doing it.

but there he is smiling away!

I gues in some sick way maybe they thought they were making fun of idolatry but . . .

If I ever felt that someone was depraved and satanistic in what they were saying I turned off instantly to what their music.

Musical talent is just too common to put up with a depraved lyricist.

Some people are very good at composition and performing, like Frank Zappa, but the lyrics are a hinderance to enjoying the music.

It matters a lot to me that a lyricist follow a moral code.

I can accept irony, like what Cobain did, and his lyrics were exceptional poetry.

When the lyrics are training sinful behavior, I have no tolerance for it and I no longer attend to the music.

inflation is often due to copious printing of paper currency.

the 'elites' fund themselves and drive the value of the currency down but they don't care because they can print as much as they want.

It's a form of theft.

There never was a Federal Reserve Bank in DC.

The nearest ones are in either Philadelphia or Richmond.

they have a 'Board of Governors' in DC. Is that what you mean?
