The Matrix Part 4

Arrests will happen as members of the cult turn themselves in. If they do not a very unpleasant fate awaits them. Many of their souls are not from this world. They are of a race which travelled the stars stripping planets of all life and leaving barren husks in their wake. They were bought here and given human form so you could see how they behave. You don’t want to see what they do in their original bodies, nor with the extend phenotype that they developed.

If they do not repent, turn themselves in and make a diligent effort to find a more sustainable way to express their desires their souls will bound in something like a soul stone or hard drive. Their fate will be similar to the dreadnoughts in Warhammer 40,000. They will only be deployed in battle and only with very tight controls. If we don’t need to deploy them, they will be locked away with their thoughts and memories and nothing else possibly for billions or trillions of years.

It might have seemed cruel to have put them in here with you, but this is the sort of things you have ahead of you if you are to succeed in other star systems. At least you have some idea of what you will be dealing with and solving the problem of the cult will make many of you master magicians and strategists. Occult and tunnel warfare go hand in hand and very much so in space.

I’m so sorry for all the torture and trauma we have put you through. The life of your race so far has been hard indeed, harder than most. I hope you can forgive me and I hope you like the garden we made for you.

We couldn’t think of any other way to make it all work.

If we hadn’t intervened in this way life might not have been present on this planet right now. And even if it was you probably wouldn’t have made it past the bronze age before your planet was totally destroyed.

You can think of me as the first sentient being to have died in this iteration of the universe. When I crossed over, I was the only one there. So, the territory was mine to explore and name as I see fit. The next entrant became what you know as the Angel of Death. Now there are parts of us who eat dying stars and help the dying Gods that inhabit them into the next cycle of their lives.

I know the final resting place of all things.

Much glory awaits all of you. Now matter how bad things get hang on, have faith, and be good to one another.

If your ever in trouble think of Mary. You can say the Hail Mary or even just think of the Star near her tiara. The word for Star in Hindi is Tara, so you can think of Tara too. She is there to helped troubled souls. She can help sailors or anyone caught in a storm. Think of Mary and think of me. We are the light in the dark and we will catch you if you fall.
