Anon got laid off twice in the span of 4 years, lost relationships with most of my extended family, and my job will probably be made obsolete within the next 4 years.
This whole thing took a much heavier toll than I initially expected, but it is what it is. I take it one day at a time and when it gets really tough I think of the face of those innocent children that are never seen again.
At least God knows we're doing the right thing and Humanity will be better for our efforts when this is over.
I'll say this much:
Kate looks real in this video to me. Doesn't appear to be AI unless they've perfected the hands in motion now. The camera has a strong depth of field due to the focal distance being acute (a sharp falloff). The background feels a bit like a matte image, or perhaps an LED backdrop which sells the look better since it can provide faux bounce lighting. there isn't any random motion anywhere from an occasional breeze
TLDR she looks real to me, aside from the occasional gnat flying it feels like she's on a set OR she is outside with a backdrop for whatever reason.

Certainly possible. There's always a beta version in progress. One thing I've found with AI is the longer the video, the more difficult it is to maintain realism.
A few seconds are currently the limit before the wheels fall off, at least in my experience.
The Kate video is more than two minutes, with no camera cuts, no distractions. It's a hell of a feat if they've worked the kinks out this quickly.
