CME passage imminent
Satellites are registering a high speed shock passage, currently over 766km/s. Bz polarity is strongly south which increases the earthbound effects, north repels, south attracts.
Grid issues, navigation errors, etc… could be expected. Auroras should be visible fairly far into the CONUS.
The expected arrival was not for another 12 hours or so, which makes this CME both stronger and faster than predicted. Not doomsday stuff, but a very clear indication that we need to pay close attention to that gigantic nuclear reactor in the sky.
