regarding tutoring

I know a woman who is one of those do-gooders who wants to make the world a better place. She and her husband adopted a young girl from Guatemala to save her from prostitution. They also adopted a mentally disabled boy, as well as having 3 children of their own. Then they got divorced. But I digress.

Anyways, this woman was a grade school teacher and a high school teacher. She is also a big Trump fanatic.

Anyways, she decided to be a tutor, not because she actually needed the money but because she wanted to help kids who were struggling in school, and who she thought needed extra help. I think she worked at that Huntington Learning Center, but I'm not sure.

Anyways, she quit because she came to realize that the kids that she was tutoring were not behind in their studies at all. They were very smart kids. They were kids from Chinese families who wanted their children to have an edge over the other kids in their class. It was all about competition.
