Glenn Greenwald made some posts on X today discussing the long-standing revolving door in DC between the government and media, saying in part:

“NBC negotiated a contract with Jen Psaki while she was White House Press Secretary.”

“ABC hired George Stephanopoulos – directly from the Clinton WH, with no journalism experience.”

Another example is Pete Williams, who was Rep. Dick Cheney's press secretary starting in 1986.

He then became Asst. Sec. Def and Pentagon Spokesperson when Cheney was Secretary of Defense under George Bush, until 1993.

NBC hired him that same year.
