JUST IN - London High Court rules Wikileaks' Julian Assange can appeal his extradition to the United States.
⚡️BREAKING: Julian Assange wins appeal, can now fight extradition to U.S.
🇬🇧 London’s High Court rules that the UK’s 2022 approval for the WikiLeaks founder's extradition will be subject to a full appeal hearing.
Assange’s lawyers succesfully argued that the move was in breach of a treaty between the UK and the US, which forbids extradition for political offenses.
Backstory: Julian's crime was exposing the extent of American war crimes in Iraq, through Wikileaks. He's been in hiding for 14 years - first in the Ecuadorian Embassy, then the Belmarsh prison. His health is deteriorating as he faces ludicrous TREASON charges in the U.S, despite being a citizen only of Australia.
😈 Meanwhile, masterminds George Bush & Tony Blair live freely & smoke fancy cigars. Stop the madness machine that we call "Western Democracy"!
