Im curious as to why the electricity pylons get fenders to protect them but the bridge uprights dont, is theres some engineering reason why you wouldn't protect the higher risk structure??
It apparently was opened on March 23, 1977; 47 years ago, i guess things were different nearly half a century ago.( less heath an safety consideration)
