IN VIDEO: RUSSIAN MILITARY AIRCRAFT CRASHED NEAR SEVASTOPOL
On the evening of March 28, a Russian military aircraft crashed into the Black Sea near Sevastopol. The local authorities confirmed the incident.
According to preliminary reported, the aircraft in question was a fighter jet of the Russian Aerospace Forces, likely Su-35S.
The pilot ejected. He was taken from water by rescuers 200 meters from the shore. He is alive and his life is not in danger.
The governor of Sevastopol confirmed the crash and reported that there was no damage to the city infrastructure.
‘A military plane crashed into the sea. I see that Ukrainian public publications publish a lot of different information. Civilian facilities were not damaged. The pilot ejected. He was picked up by rescuers of the Sevastopol Rescue Service at a distance of two hundred meters from the shore. His life is not in danger,’ the governor wrote.
The Russian military officials did not comment on the incident. The reason of the crash is yet to be revealed. Most likely, the reason could be a technical malfunction. The possibility of a friendly fire should not be excluded.

With a megaphone from Twitter Files journalist Matt Taibbi, both darlings of progressives in the "Occupy Wall Street" era, Naked Capitalism accused Google of making "flagrant errors" in its threats to demonetize the 18-year-old site for verboten content.
The Alphabet-owned company made censorship demands that were "not advertiser-driven," listed "non-existent posts in the spreadsheet" shown Naked Capitalism, and issued "wildly inaccurate negative classifications" of its content, according to editor "Yves Smith," the pen name of Aurora Advisors founder Susan Webber.
Big Tech, advertisers and activists also face growing scrutiny from Congress, state attorneys general and courts for allegedly squelching viewpoint diversity by seeking to starve contrarian publishers of ad revenue.

The committee is also saber-rattling against the World Federation of Advertisers and its Global Alliance for Responsible Media, sending warnings Wednesday to its five-member "steer team" that they may be violating "U.S. antitrust laws and congressional intent by coordinating GARM members’ efforts to demonetize and eliminate disfavored content online."
GARM's coordination "does not always revolve around 'brand safety' and 'harmful' content as GARM publicly claims" but also ideological motivations, committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan said, citing information already given the committee.
He asked the CEOs of Diageo, GroupM, Mars, Procter & Gamble and Unilever for more than five years of documents and communications "referring or relating to the categorization, demonetization, or elimination of online speech" and "conservative media outlets, including Fox News, Daily Wire and Breitbart."
Jordan wants the same regarding "advertising, so-called misinformation, so-called harmful content, or disfavored content" on Joe Rogan's podcast, X and changes to the social media platform after Elon Musk's acquisition, and each company's involvement in GARM, including "call notes of discussions or meetings."
Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, who with Louisiana is suing the feds for coercing social media to censor certain narratives, sued Media Matters for America for refusing to cooperate with his investigation of its allegedly fraudulent campaign to scare advertisers away from X, as it did with a similar Texas investigation.
Musk's platform is also suing MMFA for manipulating its algorithms to pair "pro-Nazi content" with major advertisers to drive them away. The most recent activity in the docket is MMFA's March 11 request to stay legal discovery, which could expose unflattering behavior by MMFA, pending a ruling on its motion to dismiss.
X got bad news Monday, however, when a court dismissed its lawsuit against the Center for Countering Digital Hate for "unlawfully" scraping its data to create "flawed" research in a bid to drive away advertisers. Musk's company said it would appeal.
Naked Capitalism shared the email warning and screenshots from the spreadsheet it received from its unidentified ad service, citing several Google policy "strikes," in a March 5 post. (Smith credited the spreadsheet to Google because the ad service "regularly deals with very detailed ad placement/ revenue information in spreadsheet form.")
"If Google identifies the flags consistently and if the content is not fixed, then the ads will be disabled completely to serve on the site," the email reads, citing policy violations for violent extremism, hateful content, harmful health claims and "anti-vaccination."
Those last three got paired with another strike – "demonstrably false democratic process" – for a cross-post about a "mild critic of foreign policy," Smith said.

Child trafficking arrests in Philippines connected to former West Bend Schools custodian
Anow former West Bend Schools custodian is facing child pornography and trafficking charges. The investigation went international this week.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office said Michael Westphal's alleged crimes led to a raid in the Philippines. Police there arrested three people and rescued six children.
Westphal is up against two dozen counts of possession of child pornography and a 25th charge: child trafficking. Washington County deputies made the arrest back in July 2023 during a traffic stop on Main Street in Newburg.
A search of his Newburg home and his devices revealed disturbing pornographic content, including videos of young children being sexually abused.
According to the criminal complaint, Westphal told investigators "his preference ages were four years old to twelve years old."
A Tuesday Facebook post by the Washington Co. Sheriff's Office said Westphal communicated with a sex trafficker in the Philippines and sent money in exchange for child pornography and to help the trafficker pay for an adoption, to make it easier for Westphal to receive more videos of the abuse.
The criminal complaint said the child in the videos Westphal purchased was a two-year-old girl.

Brentwood man among six Bay Area men arrested, charged in child exploitation crimes
A Brentwood man is among six Bay Area men being charged by the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office with offenses related to child exploitation.
The arrests occurred after the Contra Costa County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted Operation Broken Heart from Feb. 26-March 7, 2024. Six men were arrested – four of whom have been charged by the Contra Costa District Attorney. Two cases are still being reviewed by prosecutors.
Among the men charged, Brady Allen Godsey-Lally, 27, of Brentwood arrived at an apartment complex in Danville on March 7 to meet a 13-year-old girl to engage in sex acts. Godsey was arrested and booked for felonies, including attempted lewd acts with a minor and arranging to meet a minor for sex. On March 11, Godsey-Lally was formally charged by the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office with those felonies.
The purpose of Operation Broken Heart was to identify individuals on the internet with the intent to travel to meet minors and engage in sex acts. The operation was run by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office and the Danville Police Department in conjunction with multiple local, state, and federal agencies that make up the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which includes police departments in Brentwood and Oakley.

Sacramento County human trafficking operation lands 27 arrests
An investigation into human trafficking in Sacramento County has resulted in 27 arrests, authorities said Monday.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said the arrests came as its special investigations bureau conducted an operation on March 22 targeting sex buyers.
During some of the arrests, some of the buyers offered money, drugs and, in one case, a chicken sandwich, while bargaining with undercover deputies, the sheriff's office said.
Among those arrested were a commercial big rig driver and a person on parole with a prior child molestation conviction. Twenty-two vehicles were towed during the operation.

Major City of London police fraud crackdown sees 438 arrests and £19 million seized
A nationwide fraud crackdown led by City of London Police saw 438 people arrested and £19m seized.
The month-long Operation Henhouse was hailed by officers as resulting in a “record” number of arrests, with a 52 per cent increase on the previous year.
Officers at the City of London, which leads on economic crime, made 39 arrests during the crackdown, with cases involving those tackling investment fraud.
Properties across the capital and Kent were targeted, with police seizing a cache of digital devices, cash, drugs, offensive weapons, and a replica firearm.
In a separate warrant, the force arrested two individuals for possessing sim farms, which are used to send thousands of fraudulent texts to potential victims.
Additional operations funded under Operation Henhouse included the disruption of a counterfeit vinyl factory, with police seizing fake vinyl records.
If sold at market price, they would have been worth an estimated loss to the industry of over £1 million.
Police also arrested a 43-year-old man at Heathrow in a case tackling fraudulent insurance claims, with police believing he had made more than 100 sham insurance claims for lost phones.
City of London Detective Superintendent Oliver Little said: “The success of this year's Operation Henhouse would not be possible without the hard work of multiple teams from police forces and regional teams across the UK.
“This is evident in the results, with an estimated £13m in cash seized and over 438 arrests throughout the month. It’s a fantastic and collaborative effort by all officers who took part.
“This year sees our most impressive results yet, with a record number of arrests and disruptions made.
“With fraud accounting for around 40 per cent of all crime in the UK, we know the important role we have as the national lead force for fraud and how operations like Henhouse are key in delivering results and disrupting criminals.”
Under Operation Henhouse, police forces receive additional funding to combat fraud.
Detectives then hope that the resulting crackdown deters future would-be fraudsters. The operation is planned to run again in 2025.

Israel May Cut Off Palestinian Banks From Global Banking System Next Week
Palestinian banks could be cut off from the Israeli banking system starting next week following a decision by Israel’s finance minister to cease dealings between the two financial institutions, according to a report on Thursday by Israeli newspaper Haaretz.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has two days to convene a cabinet meeting to discuss reversing plans by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to isolate Palestinian banks from both the Israeli and international banking systems.
The Palestinian economy is based on the Israeli currency, the shekel, making it reliant on ties to Israel and its financial dealings with the rest of the world must go through the Bank of Israel and Israeli banks.
Earlier this month, the hardline minister Smotrich threatened to paralyze the Palestinian Authority's economy in response to the United States imposing sanctions on four West Bank extremist settlers accused of violence against Palestinians.
