ALL-CAUSE MORTALITY DATA – CANADA
Stats Canada Data as of April 18th, 2024
Alberta is showing a disturbing increase in deaths in the under-45 age groups for 2023.
These are not deaths being driven by immigration or the “baby boomers”.
Alberta is a stark example of this younger age group dying at an accelerated rate.
Nova Scotia deleted 25 weeks of data from 2023 (now only reporting to Week 5). This removed over 4,000 deaths from the data.
2024 provincial data is showing this will only get worse from here.
All provinces are still lagging in reporting for 2023 and many are still adding data to 2022.
The final all-cause death numbers for all provinces are expected to be above the high of 2022 as a result.
