The Jewish people rejected Jesus as the Promised Messiah because they expected the Messiah to be an Earthly King, not a Heavenly King. They are still waiting for a Messiah to be their Earthly King.

The Jews WERE the Chosen People to bring about the Promised Messiah thru their bloodline.

Now they are just a bunch of people who have rejected Jesus as the Promised Messiah.

And the Gentiles were grafted into the promise BECAUSE the Jews rejected Jesus.

So we have the Jews to thank for Gentiles being grafted into the Promise and being saved.
