Terror and the West: Russian prosecutors demand answers from the US and its allies

Moscow has demanded that Western countries investigate the organization and financing of terrorist activities targeting the nation

Russia has sent official inquiries to the judiciaries of the US, Germany, France and Cyprus, demanding that they investigate the alleged involvement of their intelligence services, and other entities and individuals, in organizing and funding terrorist attacks in the Russian Federation.

The appeal

The appeal was originally submitted to the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office last month by a group of State Duma deputies several days after the attack on Crocus City Hall outside Moscow, which they described as yet another “manifestation of the inhumanity, hatred and cruelty” of Russia’s “external enemies.”

The authors of the document suggested that only Western politicians could have had an interest in such an attack, and insisted that the “international terrorism of the collective West must be stopped.”

To this end, the lawmakers demanded an investigation into the possible involvement of foreign intelligence services and individuals in organizing and financing acts of terrorism in Russia.

Basis for appeal

The deputies cited a UN Security Council resolution, as well as several international anti-terrorism conventions, which have been ratified by the US, France, Germany and Cyprus, as the basis for their demands.

They pointed out that under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, all states are required to prevent and suppress the financing of terrorist acts, and to freeze assets and funds of any persons guilty of terrorism.

According to the 1977 European Convention on the Suppression of Terrorism, which has also been ratified by Ukraine, any persons who have committed an act of terror are also extraditable to a requesting state, the lawmakers noted.

Under the 1997 International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings, all member states are required to investigate any information about possible terrorism suspects present on their territory, with the aim of prosecuting or extraditing them.

The Russian lawmakers noted that the scale and consequences of recent terrorist attacks “demonstrate a certain involvement of representatives of specific foreign intelligence services in the process of their implementation.”

Amazon hires 1,000 Indian workers to support flagging AI push – media

The retailer is reportedly planning to ditch its self-service checkout systems that were designed to work without humans

US retail giant Amazon has hired human workers in India to help its grab-and-go checkout systems, news outlet Engadget reported on Monday. The tech-focused site added that that the company is planning to ditch the unprofitable technology.

Amazon’s Just Walk Out self-checkout tech relies on a host of cameras and sensors, as well as on human input to track what people take from stores and charge them accordingly.

However, the company reportedly had to hire more than 1,000 people in India to scan the camera feeds to ensure checkout tallies were accurate. Installing and maintaining all the necessary equipment is also proving too expensive and makes using the systems unprofitable.

Just Walk Out systems have been installed in 27 of Amazon's 40 Fresh stores across the US, Engadget claims.

Using the systems has also reportedly resulted in a wide range of frustrating issues for Amazon’s consumers, from receipts being sent out hours after purchase to completely mismanaged orders.

In addition, the company is facing confidentiality challenges, as cameras and sensors are collecting biometric information on shoppers. In September, Amazon was hit by a class-action suit in New York, where plaintiffs accused the company of collecting biometric identifier information without properly disclosing the practices to consumers.

The Seattle-based company is reportedly planning to focus on offering Dash Carts, which allow customers to scan items while shopping, in grocery stores after testing the carts in Whole Foods and Fresh outlets, where the Just Walk Out system is currently used.

Just Walk Out technology will continue to be offered in select stores in the UK.

Founded as an e-commerce business, Amazon opted to enter the physical retail sector five years ago. The company opened its first Amazon Fresh store in 2020, and operates more than 40 around the country. In 2017, Amazon bought the Whole Food grocery chain, which caters for a wealthier clientele. The corporation has also added Amazon Go cashier-less stores to its portfolio.

China Sends 30 Planes and 9 Vessels Over and Around Earthquake-Stricken Taiwan, in a Major Show of Force – Escalation Came Right After Biden and XI-Jinping Call

Now that the United States is overextended militarily with simultaneous proxy engagements in the Ukraine-Russia and Israel-Gaza wars, many fear that China will take advantage of this situation and make a decisive move towards the island of Taiwan, potentially taking the American military capabilities to the brink.

Dozens of Chinese warplanes and multiple naval ships were reported around Taiwan in the largest coordinated display this year.

At least 30 planes and nine ships were detected in Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ) by the country’s Ministry of National Defense.

“’30 PLA aircraft and 9 PLAN [Chinese navy] vessels operating around Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. [local time] today. 20 of the aircraft entered Taiwan’s northern, middle line, and Southwest [air defense identification zones]’, the Taiwanese [Ministry] announced via social media. ‘[Republic of China Armed Forces] have monitored the situation and employed appropriate force to respond’.”

The ‘Republic of China’, official name of Taiwan, is trying to remain independent from the mainland, communist People’s Republic of China.

“The coordinated display of military force by the People’s Liberation Army around Taiwan followed a phone call between leaders of the People’s Republic of China and the United States.

President Biden held a phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday.”

No details about the call have been divulged, but Taiwan was widely expected to be a major topic, along with fentanyl, artificial intelligence and China’s support for Russia.

“Biden last spoke with Xi in person in November, their first public interaction since Biden took to referring to Xi as a ‘dictator’. […] Biden used the term after the U.S. shot down a Chinese spy craft on the East Coast after allowing it to traverse the continental U.S.

Biden has stated repeatedly in the past that the U.S. would intervene if China were to invade Taiwan, but the White House has walked back the statement each time.”

NASA to Launch Three ‘Sounding Rockets’ During Total Solar Eclipse — Project Named After the Egyptian God of Darkness and Chaos

NASA is ready to launch three sounding rockets during the rare celestial event of a total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024.

The mission aims to shed light on how the Earth’s upper atmosphere reacts to the sudden and temporary absence of sunlight.

The Atmospheric Perturbations around Eclipse Path (APEP) mission will see its sounding rockets ascend from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, targeting the ionosphere, a layer of Earth’s atmosphere that becomes notably disturbed when the Moon’s shadow eclipses the Sun.

This trio of rockets, which previously saw action during the annular solar eclipse in October 2023 at the White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico, has been refurbished with advanced instrumentation for their upcoming mission.

The scheduled launch times for the sounding rockets are meticulously planned: one will ascend 45 minutes before the eclipse reaches its peak, another during the eclipse, and the final rocket will be launched 45 minutes after the peak.

FACT CHECK: Most U.S. slave owners, 78%, were JEWISH

The letter also contains numerous recommendations for Biden to follow, one of which involves signing an executive order (EO) to allow illegal spouses of U.S. citizens to work during their green card application process, as well as creating a more streamlined process for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) recipients to gain non-immigrant status.

"Deporting all such individuals – as former President Donald Trump has threatened to do if reelected – would devastate the American economy and destroy American families," the senators further wrote in their letter.

According to the senators, illegals contributed nearly $10 billion in federal and state taxes in 2019 alone, as well as more than $11 billion in social security contributions.

Israel Bombed Foreign Aid Workers Three Times Until They Were All Killed

The aid workers were hit with missiles in three separate vehicles that were clearly marked with the World Central Kitchen logo

Israel launched three separate drone strikes on an aid convoy in its attack that killed seven World Central Kitchen aid workers, Haaretz reported on Tuesday.

One Israeli drone fired three missiles at three cars that were clearly marked with the WCK’s logos and were traveling on roads preapproved by the Israeli military. After the first car was hit, wounded survivors were picked up by a second car. After that car was hit, they went into the third car. Then, the Israeli drone finished the job.

The attack killed three British nationals, a dual American-Canadian citizen, a Palestinian, an Australian, and a Polish citizen. Israeli officials have claimed the airstrikes were a mistake, but the meticulous nature of the operation suggests it was a targeted killing of aid workers and part of Israel’s campaign to starve Palestinians, as several aid organizations have suspended operations in Gaza in response.

According to Israeli sources speaking to Haaretz, the three cars were hit after escorting an aid truck to a food warehouse in central Gaza.

The sources said the Israeli unit responsible for the route claimed to identify an armed man on the aid truck and suspected he was a “terrorist,” although he could have just been providing security for the aid shipment. Israel has repeatedly targeted Gaza’s police officers who guard aid convoys.

The alleged armed man was the justification for the strike, even though the cars were hit after leaving the aid truck at the warehouse. Another Haaretz report cited Israeli sources who said the strikes happened not because of a lack of coordination between aid groups and the Israeli military but because Israeli “officers on the ground do what they want.”

Docs Show Corporate Giants Are ‘Colluding To Demonetize Conservative Platforms,’ Judiciary Committee Says

Advertising industry’s anti-conservative blacklist campaign could violate antitrust laws, Rep. Jim Jordan says

The House Judiciary Committee is investigating whether major advertisers ran afoul of antitrust laws by coordinating about which news outlets to blackball.

The committee, chaired by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), obtained documents from the World Federation of Advertisers that show how it implemented a strategy to prevent major advertisers from doing business with disfavored news outlets. The coordinated effort could have the effect of bankrupting news organizations that don’t get the stamp of approval.

“The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) through its Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) initiative may be acting inconsistent with U.S. antitrust laws and congressional intent by coordinating GARM members’ efforts to demonetize and eliminate disfavored content online,” Jordan wrote in March 27 letter demanding further documents from advertisers.

“Evidence the Committee has obtained suggests that GARM members, led by Steer Team members, are colluding to demonetize conservative platforms and voices. Further, this coordination does not always revolve around ‘brand safety’ and ‘harmful’ content as GARM publicly claims, but instead the desire to censor conservative and other views that GARM members disfavor,” Jordan added.

The letters indicate that documents obtained by the committee suggest that the group tried to blackball mainstream conservative news organizations, specifically asking for “communications referring or relating to conservative news outlets, including Fox News, Daily Wire, and Breitbart.”

The letters went to major corporations on GARM’s “steering committee” — Unilever, Procter & Gamble, GroupM, Diageo, and Mars — saying the documents “directly connect” the companies with such efforts. The documents in the active investigation have not been released to the public.

The letters seek communications from the companies “relating to the categorization, demonetization, or elimination of online speech.”

They also ask for communications discussing “changes to X following Elon Musk’s acquisition of the company,” when many advertisers left the platform in protest of the left-wing Jack Dorsey being replaced by the billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk.

German Government Documents Obtained Under Court Order Reveal Covid Crisis Political Manipulation.

The release of heavily redacted German government documents obtained under court order by the German alternative media magazine “Multipolar” are shaking up German politics on the eve of the critical 2024 European Parliament election in Germany, scheduled to be held on 9 June 2024. The documents reveal COVID crisis policy interactions and deference by Robert Koch Institute (RKI) public health scientists to unnamed politicians. The RKI, which is the German equivalent to the US HHS Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have “blacked out” over 200 pages considerably and Multipolar are currently taking legal action against the redactions.

The over 1,000 pages of these German language redacted documents can currently be downloaded from this website.

Despite extensive redactions (ergo censorship) in the currently released documents, one key fact which has been revealed is that politician(s) overrode RKI scientists and physicians to enact mandated but counterproductive COVID public health policies. The identity of these politicians were redacted, but they may reside within the German government, or may be from the superior European Union (which can and often does overrule the semi-autonomous German Bundestag).

Separate disclosures have revealed what appears to be insider dealing with mRNA vaccine manufacturer Pfizer (“Pfizergate”) by Ursula von der Leyen, who has served as President of the European Commission since 1 December 2019, following nomination by the European Council and election by the European Parliament. A lawsuit to force disclosure of the hidden negotiations and communications between Ursula von der Leyen and Pfizer is currently pending in Belgium.

Neither the European Parliament, the European Council nor the President of the European Commission are directly elected by the general European populace.

A major political shift in the composition of the European Parliament may occur consequent to the 2024 European Parliament election, with the increasing electoral strength of populist parties throughout Europe posing a threat to the continued dominance of the left wing coalitions (increasingly far-left socialists) which have controlled that chamber for decades. Such an outcome could result in more widespread disclosure of collusion between pharma, corporatist and globalist financial longer range planning and interests with the various EU political structures.

There is evidence indicating collusion to implement totalitarian policies such as the lockdowns, vaccine passport/green card system, and legal restrictions which were mandated for most Europeans during the COVIDcrisis. All cause mortality data indicate that EU Nations which did not fully comply with these arbitrary and capricious policies (such as Sweden and Romania) had the best COVIDcrisis outcomes, raising questions of political consequences for those governments that aggressively complied with EU and WHO-promoted totalitarian policies.

Electoral ascendency of multiple European populist political movements and parties is seen as a threat to the stability of the European Union experiment, a variety of globalist organizations, and by extension is seen as a threat to the North American Treaty Organization (NATO). South Africa publishes regulations to control speech online ahead of elections

In February, South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that general elections would be held on 29 May 2024. On 22 March 2024, FPB published a Notice of amendments to the Films and Publications Act (1996).

A week after FPB published its new regulations, lawyers for Media Monitoring Africa Trust, the South African National Editors Forum, the Campaign for Free Expression, the Press Council of South Africa, and the SOS Support Public Broadcasting Coalition wrote to FPB’s CEO to withdraw the regulations.

“Our clients have identified a myriad of concerns and challenges with the Notice … and submit that the Notice does not pass constitutional muster and should be urgently withdrawn,” the letter stated.

The regulations represent a masterclass in how to squeeze a litany of unconstitutional elements into one set of regulations. The Act under which it operates, the Films and Publications Act, offers no clear mandate for the FPB to regulate online content in this way.

“The [regulations] contain a multitude of problems. To begin with, there has been a failure to follow due process. To design and pass regulations and have them come into force with no public participation at all is a clear violation of the Promotion of Administrative Justice Act, but it is all the more egregious when it seeks to deal with new areas not covered anywhere else in the FPB mandate and which have no basis in existing legislation,” South African independent media outlet Daily Mavrick reported yesterday.

The next fatal flaw is that the regulations introduce entirely new definitions for “misinformation” and “disinformation” which are worryingly vague. These imprecise interpretations could lead to the formation of new types of prohibited content, which could easily be exploited to stifle genuine voices and have a chilling effect on free speech.

The vagueness of definitions seems to be the latest fashion with governments around the world. In Ireland’s “hate speech” bill the terms “hate” and “hatred” are not actually defined in the bill. In the UK’s Online Safety Act, although the word “harm” appears hundreds of times in the text, there is a lack of clarity in the Act on its definition.

Vague restrictions on online content can easily be abused to silence dissenting voices and curtail legitimate criticism. Daily Maverick noted that this has already been seen in South Africa’s neighbouring countries where such legislation has been used more often to silence government critics than to counter disinformation.

South Africa’s FPB is a government department. If free speech is allowed to be regulated by a government department rather than an independent body, and if a definition is allowed to be overly broad and vague, it will chill free speech and undermine our democracy.

The FPB’s attempt to extend its reach is concerning. The regulations place a significant burden on internet service providers (ISPs) who would be responsible for policing content and potentially face liability for failing to prevent the spread of “misinformation.” Open and robust public discourse is fundamental to any democracy, and these regulations threaten to stifle just that.

South Africa’s new regulations sound eerily similar to the European Commission’s recommended anti-disinformation measures for social media and search engines. The Commission expects the guidelines to be formally adopted this month ahead of EU elections and elections in 17 European countries.

Meanwhile, ahead of general elections in the UK, Ofcom – the regulator tasked with implementing the controversial Online Safety Act that considerably restricts online speech – employed as many as 350 new staff in January, former Big Tech employees among them.
