that is not the solution either because the idea was checks and balances the problem is that corruption has rotted every institution as to make it totally stupid. It has been broken for about 150 years. Can not trust a bit of it to do the right thing either. We also do not really have a separation of church and state as politicians tend to often vote along their religious dogma and not based on the will of the constituents. Power has been taken from the people for generations and those that still think there is anything left to go back to are living in a fantasy world.

the denial of many things staring people in the face about who controls them often causes them to hold on tighter to what they think they believe because the unknown is just too scary otherwise. Imagine the loss of power people will feel when they discover that the houses of worship they flock to for what ever they believe is based on lies.
