Technically victory for Ukraine means getting their border back to where it was in 1991. If Russia wants to keep attacking then they will deplete themselves long-term against NATO. Russia relies on their 1,000,000 conscripted soldiers - they don't have the same morale even worth 300 volunteer soldiers.
NATO chose to have Ukraine's back strategically. Ukraine is full of ripe resources and strategic points. Better NATO has it than Russia and China.
