Oh it was breads ago. Just to clear more - depending on the system the secure object (plant, NPP, gov) is using you may have a double recognition system, meaning for the domestic cars, simple vehicle plate reading is ok. However for the cars with foreign plates, there might be used the plates + ID tag device, which is placed in the vehicle (in cars, usually on the dashboard). Object which are secure may of course use the plate number + ID tag system on all vehicles cleared to enter the secure site. Just FYI :)

I think that depending on the model and system used, they can be equipped with gps tracker, but it will serve the purpose of tracking the movement of the car outside the secure area and in case it would be stolen. Our Gatefags have changed the system and they don't use those devices anymore, so I have noone credible

to ask about this :/

The log of the system would - if it is still there, but you would need two thingsโ€ฆThe serial number, or the number of the device (I think the number is on the grey strip) AND the plate number of the car - that's how they connect and register them in the system. Then usually the car will be registered under access card of a person/people using it, so that they can enter the area. Usually it is the driver, but not necessarily.
