Following our story, The Met reached out to us to clear up the situation.

A Met Police spokesman said: “This march has not been banned by the Met Police. We are working with the organisers and as with any request to demonstrate/march across London the Met have to balance the right to protest against impact on communities and potential for serious disruption and serious disorder.”

They added: “We have advised the organiser that we are considering putting conditions on the march but to be clear no decision has yet been made as yet. We will continue to speak with them ahead of next Saturday.”
