FSB reveals Crocus City attackers’ plan to escape to Ukraine

The suspects behind the Moscow concert hall massacre said they were promised money in Kiev

Two escape routes were prepared in Ukraine for the terrorists who attacked a packed concert hall outside Moscow last month, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Sunday. The FSB showed snippets from interrogation videos, in which the suspects confessed that they were promised money in Kiev.

On March 22, four Tajik nationals opened fire inside the Crocus City Hall music venue and then set the building on fire.

A total of 145 people were killed and more than 500 were injured in the attack.

The suspected assailants were detained the next day while trying to flee to Ukraine by car, the authorities said. More suspects were arrested in the following days, most of them of Tajik origin.

The jihadist group Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISIS-K) has claimed responsibility for the attack.FSB chief Aleksandr Bortnikov, however, suggested that the US, UK, and Ukraine may also be linked to the attack, possibly using Islamists as proxies. Ukraine and its Western backers have denied any involvement.

In the interrogation videos aired on Russian TV, the suspects said thatthey were following instructions from the handler they knew as Sayfullo. The authorities are currently working to determine his identity.

The handler told the suspects to escape to Ukraine where they expected to receive 1 million rubles each ($11,000), they said.

“Sayfullo told us that guys would wait for us at the Ukrainian border and that they would help us to cross the border and arrive in Kiev,”suspect Muhammadsobir Fayzov told his interrogator. (Kash or someone else on Bannon, said Kiev wanted them dead, so no connections)

According to investigators, the suspects took the M3 highway that leads to the border with Ukraine, but were eventually intercepted about 140 kilometers (87 miles) from Ukraine’s Sumy region.

Suspect Shamsidin Fariduni said that they were told to “abandon the car near the border”and then call their handlerfor further instructions on how to cross into Ukraine.

Russian officials said previously that a “window” for crossing the border had been arranged on the Ukrainian side. The FSB said on Sunday that the Ukrainians were conducting “demining activities” near the villages of Chuykovka and Sopych, which points to two possible escape routes. According to investigators, the suspects were expected to destroy their vehicle and cross the border on foot, using woodlands as cover.

Russia’s InvestigativeCommittee said earlier this week that pro-Ukrainian images were discovered on the phoneof one of the suspects.

(Regardless if any if this is confirmed, its obvious Ukraine was involved, the reason why is Kirby and State Dept immediately said “No way Ukraine was involved, even before the event was over. And multiple gov agents including Jeanne-Pierre at the WH announced the next day the same exact wording, with other agencies following her reading the same script. US was involved or they knew what Kiev would do and couldn’t stop them. They could have waited a day or two, but the “night of” the attack while the building was still burning with no investigation happening by the Russians. I think they were concerned Russia would immediately bomb Kiev.)

NATO chief (Dunce) calls on members to stand up to ‘authoritarian powers’

Russia, Iran, China, and North Korea are becoming increasingly aligned, Jens Stoltenberg has said

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has warned that an “authoritarian” alliance ofseveral defiant countriesis getting stronger. He said that Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea are becoming “more and more aligned,”representing a growing threat for the West.

In an interview on BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Stoltenberg argued that “China is propping up the Russian war economy, delivering key parts to the defense industry, and in return, Moscow is mortgaging its future to Beijing.” He further claimed that Russia provides Iran and North Korea with technology in exchange for ammunition and military equipment. (Doubtful Russia is mortgaging their future to China)

The NATO boss then went on to suggest that the bloc needs to deepen cooperation with countries like Japan and South Korea to “stand up against this stronger alliance of authoritarian powers.” (NATO wants to expand to Asian countries, for NATOs existence)

Moscow and Beijing, which have enjoyed close ties since the Soviet times, recently pledged to increase bilateral cooperation in different fields. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping declared in 2022 that their strategic partnership has “no limits.”

China has refused to blame Russia for the Ukraine conflict and has repeatedly accused the US and NATO of “Cold War mentality” and trying to impose their will on the rest of the world. Putin said in February that the West has retained its “colonial habits.”

Iran has admitted to having sent a small amount of drones to Russia before Moscow launched its military operation in Ukraine in February 2022. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, however, said that theRussian army uses only domestically produced weapons against Kiev’s troops.

Pyongyang and Moscow agreed to increase cooperation during Kim Jong-un’s visit to Russia in September 2023. North Korea has denied that it shipped rockets and shells to Russia and blasted the US for “persistently spreading a groundless rumor of arms dealings.” The Kremlin also dismissed the reports of military aid from Pyongyang.

BothMoscow and Beijing have blamed the current crisis in Ukraine on NATO’s expansion in Europe, with the Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun stating that the US was targeting Russia and China while “seeking to retain its hegemony around the globe.” Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu warned last year that “the West is now looking at potentially spreading” the conflict to the Asia-Pacific region.
