Leading pro-life group fiercely denounces Trump's position on abortion: 'Cedes the national debate to the Democrats'

Former President Donald Trump has finally revealed his position on abortion.

In a video message released on Monday, Trump said the issue of abortion will be left up to the states if he returns to the White House next year.

"My view is now that we have abortion where everyone wanted it from a legal standpoint, the states will determine by vote or legislation, or perhaps both. And whatever they decide must be the law of the land. In this case, the law of the state," Trump said.

"Many states will be different. Many will have a different number of weeks, or some will have more conservative than others, and that's what they will be," he added. "At the end of the day, it's all about will of the people. That's where we are right now and that's what we want — the will of the people."

"We are deeply disappointed in President Trump's position," said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of SBA Pro-Life America.

"Unborn children and their mothers deserve national protections and national advocacy from the brutality of the abortion industry. The Dobbs decision clearly allows both states and Congress to act," she explained. "Saying the issue is 'back to the states' cedes the national debate to the Democrats who are working relentlessly to enact legislation mandating abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy. If successful, they will wipe out states’ rights."

One of the problems with leaving the issue up to states is that abortion up to the moment of birth might be legal in multiple states.

Seven states — Alaska, Colorado, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, plus Washington, D.C. — have no gestational limit on abortion. And while late-term abortions are rare, the lack of restrictions raises the question: What legal recourse is there to stop a mother from aborting her more-than-viable unborn child?

Leaving the issue up to the states also avoids the question: What about the life of the unborn child?

That Trump's position does not answer that question is why Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said that he disagrees with Trump.

"I respectfully disagree with President Trump’s statement that abortion is a states' rights issue," Graham said. "Dobbs does not require that conclusion legally, and the pro-life movement has always been about the well-being of the unborn child — not geography."

Graham, moreover, predicted that leaving abortion up to the states "will age about as well as the Dred Scott decision," referring to an 1857 Supreme Court case that ruled African-Americans were not U.S. citizens.

That ruling was rendered moot in just 11 years with the passing of the 14th Amendment.

USDA using unreliable PCR testing to “depopulate” poultry farms, crippling the U.S. food supply

"Out of an abundance of caution," the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has been “depopulating” poultry farms whenever a hen tests positive for avian influenza. These government-enforced depopulation schemestarget millions of egg-laying hens, decimating large flocks of harmless animals.

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development recently reported that a few birds tested positive for avian influenza at a major Michigan poultry facility. The birds at this facility were put under quarantine and scheduled to be killed, en masse. Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch recently had a few hens test positive at their Green Meadow Organics facility, and entire flocks will be culled because of it. This is an issue that is occurring at greater frequency across the country. PCR fallibility and disease pandemonium allows government agencies to cull entire flocks, driving food price inflation and putting the food supply at risk.

Factory farms are notorious for raising chickens in unhealthy, crowded environments that do not consider the holistic health of the animals. This often causes the chickens to become more susceptible to sickness and more likely to spread infections. The animals are not allowed to roam freely and develop proper immunity to the pathogens in their environment. These animals are often subject to conditions, drugs and vaccines that further weaken their ability to adapt to disease. Instead of allowing chicken populations to gain natural immunity, the government depopulates entire flocks and puts the next generation of chickens at greater risk, due to waning herd immunity from generation to generation.

To make matters worse, the USDA requires poultry farmers to use real time-quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) technology to determine whether a sick animal harbors avian influenza. If an animal tests positive, the producer must quarantine their flocks out of an abundance of caution and work with the state to come up with a “depopulation plan.” The depopulation plan typically involves killing millions of animals that aren't even infected, to allegedly protect the herd from a pandemic strain.

On April 2, 2024, Cal-Maine Foods agreed to depopulate 1.6 million laying hens and 33,700 pullets at their facility in Parmer County, Texas. Some of the birds tested positive for H1N5 - one of the strains of highly pathogenic avian influenza that the latest PCR tests are calibrated to amplify.

Last year, Cal-Maine Foods agreed to cull 1.6% of its flock at one of their Kansas facilities. Several companies across the country have culled millions of chickens throughout 2022-2024. These broad, hasty actions are harming the U.S. food supply and causing the price of animal meat to go up, as meat and egg supplies are threatened.

Under § 56.5, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service of the USDA requires the destruction and disposal and cleaning and disinfection (virus elimination) of premises, conveyances and materials, when an animal tests positive for avian influenza.

Poultry that are infected with or exposed to H5/H7 LPAI may be required to be destroyed at the discretion of the Cooperating State Agency and [the USDA] Animal Health and Plant Inspection Service and in accordance with the initial State response and containment plan described in § 56.10.”

PCR sensitivity, fallibility, and its role in decimating the U.S. food supply

The traditional method of diagnosing hens with avian influenza involves intentional infection of embryonated eggs with samples taken directly from the trachea or cloacae of avian species. This method allows for the proper sub-typing of the influenza A virus. However, a more expedient diagnostic method has been introduced over the past two decades.

The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is an alternative diagnostic method that allows for rapid and sensitive detection. This method uses nucleic acids from blood or tissue samples and analyzes them for the presence of molecules specific to bird flu.

This method amplifies pieces of genetic material from viruses that may be left behind in tissue samples from previously sick animals. However, these amplifications may not always differentiate between serious avian influenza infections and benign infections that have no symptoms or mild symptoms of illness that could confer greater immunity throughout the herd.

These PCR amplifications may deliver a “positive” result, even after the organism has overcome an infection and has immunity. It’s well known that low pathogenicity avian influenza (LPAI) virus strains occur naturally in wild migratory waterfowl and shorebirds, without causing illness, but PCR could misdiagnose these benign cases as serious cases, leading to mass quarantine and culling of animals.

Compiled on the basis of research in English, Arabic, and French in the Middle East, Europe and the US, as well as public sourcing, the report concludes that Qatar is a fundamentally disingenuous actor, falsely presenting itself as an honest broker, moderating influence in the region, and “friend of the West.”

In fact, the report states, “Qatar operates not as an independent mediator as it claims, but benefits directly from the bloodshed and geopolitical fallout and unrest that result from its policies.”

FLASHBACK - Fifty Years Later, NSA Keeps Details of Israels USS Liberty Attack Secret

On June 8, 1967, an Israeli torpedo tore through the side of the unarmed American naval vessel USS Liberty, approximately a dozen miles off the Sinai coast. The ship, whose crew was under command of the National Security Agency, was intercepting communications at the height of the Six-Day War when it came under direct Israeli aerial and naval assault.

Reverberations from the torpedo blast sent crewman Ernie Gallo flying across the radio research room where he was stationed. Gallo, a communications technician aboard the Liberty, found himself and his fellow shipmates in the midst of an attack that would leave 34 Americans dead and 171 wounded.

This week marks the 50th anniversary of the assault on the USS Liberty, and though it was among the worst attacks in history against a noncombatant U.S. naval vessel, the tragedy remains shrouded in secrecy. The question of if and when Israeli forces became aware they were killing Americans has proved a point of particular contention in the on-again, off-again public debate that has simmered over the last half a century. The Navy Court of Inquiry’s investigation proceedings following the incident were held in closed sessions, and the survivors who had been on board received gag orders forbidding them to ever talk about what they endured that day.

Now, half a century later, The Intercept is publishing two classified documents provided in the cache of files leaked by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden related to the attack and its aftermath. They reveal previously unknown involvement by Government Communications Headquarters, the U.K. signals intelligence agency; internal NSA communications that seem to bolster a signals intelligence analyst’s account of the incident, which framed it as an accident; as well as a Hebrew transliteration system unique to the NSA that was in use at least as recently as 2006.

CDC Sends New Health Alert Over Bird Flu in the US

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) sent an alert on April 5 to state health departments and providers after a human bird flu infection in a Texas dairy farm worker was confirmed earlier this month.

In a “health alert network” advisory, the federal agency said that health care providers should be aware of its “updated recommendations” on “instructions for infection prevention and control measures, using personal protective equipment (PPE), testing, antiviral treatment, patient investigations, monitoring of exposed persons” such as individuals who have been “exposed to sick or dead wild and domesticated animals and livestock with suspected or confirmed infection” with H5N1 avian influenza.

As for doctors and health care workers, they “should consider the possibility of” bird flu in people “showing signs or symptoms of acute respiratory illness or conjunctivitis and who have relevant exposure history” with potentially sickened livestock or birds, the agency said. Conjunctivitis is a key symptom, according to the agency.

Doctor at Israeli Detention Camp for Gazans Blows Whistle on War Crimes

"Just this week, two prisoners had their legs amputated due to handcuff injuries, which unfortunately is a routine event."

A doctor at an Israeli field hospital inside a notorious detention center where hundreds of Palestinian prisoners are temporarily held is sounding the alarm about torture and horrific conditions at what some human rights defenders – including Israelis – are calling “Israel’s Guantánamo Bay” and even a “concentration camp.”

In a letter to Israel’s attorney general and defense and health ministers viewed by Haaretz – which reported the story Thursday – the anonymous physician describes likely war crimes being committed at the Israel Defense Forces’ Sde Teiman base near Beersheva. Palestinian militants captured by IDF troops, as well as many civilian hostages ranging in age from teenagers to septuagenarians, are held there in cages, 70-100 per cage, until they are transferred to regular Israeli prisons or released.

“From the first days of the medical facility’s operation until today, I have faced serious ethical dilemmas,” the doctor wrote. “More than that, I am writing to warn you that the facility’s operations do not comply with a single section among those dealing with health in the Internment of Unlawful Combatants Law.”

Gazans arrested and detained by Israeli forces are not legally considered prisoners of war by Israel because it does not recognize Gaza as a state. These detainees are mostly held under the Internment of Unlawful Combatants Law, which allows the imprisonment of anyone suspected of taking part in hostilities against Israel for up to 75 days without seeing a judge.

Human Rights Watch has warned that the law “strips away meaningful judicial review and due process rights.”

Sde Teiman detainees are fed through straws and forced to defecate in diapers. They’re also forced to sleep with the lights on and have allegedly been subjected to beatings and torture. Other Palestinians taken by Israeli forces have described being electrocuted, mauled by dogs, soaked with cold water, denied food and water, deprived of sleep, and blasted with loud music at temporary detention sites.

The whistleblowing Sde Teiman physician said that all patients at the camp’s field hospital are handcuffed by all four limbs, regardless of how dangerous they are deemed. In December, Israeli Health Ministry officials ordered such treatment after a medical worker at the facility was attacked. Now the camp’s estimated 600-800 prisoners are shackled 24 hours a day.

“Enough, just enough. We have to stop this gallop into the abyss,” urged Hebrew University senior lecturer Tamar Megiddo on Wednesday. “This war has to end. This government needs to end.”

Israeli Politician Suggests Israel Will Use Nukes If America Stops Supplying Weapons Aid

Israeli MK Nissim Vaturi, a representative in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ruling Likud party, issued a not-so-veiled threat on Saturday suggesting that if America doesn't supply Israel with weapons aid then Israel will use nuclear weapons.

"In the event of a conflict with Iran, if we do not receive American ammunition - we will have to use everything we have…" Vaturi ominously said.

Israel assassinated a high-ranking Iranian Brigadier General and 15 others in an airstrike on an Iranian embassy building in Syria on April 1 and Iran has pledged to retaliate.

Vaturi's statement is being interpreted by many as a threat to use nukes against Iran or potentially even exercise the Samson Option (Israel's plan to fire off all their nukes and initiate a global nuclear holocaust in the case that their existence is threatened).

Fox News host Mark Levin issued a similar threat in mid October.

"What are they [Israel] going to do if they're surrounded?" Levin said at the time. "What are they going to do if 150,000 advanced missiles are going to be shot? What are they going to do if Iran gets involved? Well, they can't win a conventional war. What are they going to do?"

"I think I know what they'd do," Levin continued. "I know what we would do, we would destroy the enemy, because otherwise we're exterminated. That's all I have to say!"

"[Israelis] have their own [nuclear] arsenal, which they never admit," he said. "If Israel is going to face annihilation, you think they have those nukes in there to collect dust?"

"If you're a country that has that type of weaponry, and your people are going to be slaughtered as they were – except this time totally destroyed, they need to be thinking about all their options," he said, alluding to theSamson Option.

A report produced by Oxford University and Imperial College London for the UK Government reveals that all airports will be ordered to close, eating beef and lamb will be made illegal, and construction of new buildings will not be permitted to meet the legal commitment of zero emissions by 2050.

The report states that all airports must close between 2020 and 2029 excluding Heathrow, Glasgow and Belfast airports, which can only stay open on the condition that transfers to and from the airport are done via rail.

All remaining airports must then close between 2030 and 2049 because to meet the legal commitment of zero emissions by 2050 every citizen of the United Kingdom must “stop using aeroplanes” for a significant period of time.

In addition, the report states that to obey the law of the Climate Change Act the public will be required to stop doing anything that causes emissions regardless of its energy source. According to the report, this will require the public to never eat beef or lamb ever again.

To do this national consumption of beef and lamb will drop by 50% between 2020 and 2029. Then between 2030 and 2049 beef and lamb will be “phased out”.

Head of Israeli cyber spy unit exposed … by his own privacy mistake

The spy is named Yossi Sariel allegedly heads Israel's Unit 8200 – a team of crack infosec experts comparable to the USA’s National Security Agency or the UK’s Government Communications Headquarters. Now he's been confirmed as the author of a 2021 book titled "The Human Machine Team" about the intelligence benefits of pairing human agents with advanced AI.

Sariel – who wrote the book under the oh-so-anonymous pen name “Brigadier General YS” – made a crucial mistake after an investigation by The Guardian which found an electronic copy of Sariel's book available on Amazon "included an anonymous email that can easily be traced to Sariel's name and Google account.”

The paper has since confirmed with Israeli Defense Force sources that the account was tied to Sariel, and noted multiple sources have confirmed him as the author.

Being outed after more than 20 years of anonymity isn't optimal for someone who's supposed to be a top spy, and the timing for Sariel couldn't be much worse. Criticism of the elite Unit 8200 has grown since Hamas attacked Israel last October, which has been considered an intelligence failure on the part of Sariel's unit.

Whether his public exposure will result in a reassignment for Sariel is unknown, but it does make one thing clear: If a spy who heads an elite unit can make a simple mistake that compromises his identity, what hope do the rest of us have?
