New Kilwinning site for Fenix Battery Recycling

As lithium ion battery use surges with the growth in the electric vehicle market, a new multi-chemistry battery recycling facility has been opened in Kilwinning near Glasgow. The site will play an important part in Fenix Battery Recycling’s plans to develop facilities to offer on-site recycling for multiple battery types, with this site specialising in recycling Electric Vehicle Batteries (ELV), amongst other battery types

The news comes after Fenix Battery Recycling, Ever Resource and the University of Birmingham received significant grant funding to develop an innovative technology to make lithium ion battery recycling cleaner and more sustainable. The funding from the Government’s Innovate UK Smart Grants programme is for the development of separation technologies for end-of-life lithium ion batteries.

Arizona Attorney General Says She Won’t Enforce State Supreme Court Ruling Banning Abortion

Democratic Attorney General Kristin Mayes of Arizona announced on Tuesday that she would not enforce a ruling from her state’s supreme court upholding an 1864 law that bans most abortions.

On Tuesday, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled that a law criminalizing abortions, except in cases where necessary to save the mother’s life, may be enforced following the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization in 2022, which ruled that there is no constitutional right to an abortion. Mayes, one of the named parties in the case, subsequently issued a statement on X condemning the decision while claiming that her prosecutors would not enforce the law against doctors and women seeking abortions.

Former Hostage: I Was Abducted By Palestinian Civilians, Sold to Hamas

A former Israeli hostage who was freed during a truce in November says that she was abducted from her home in Israel on October 7 by Palestinian civilians, not Hamas members, who then sold her in Gaza to Hamas terrorists.

Breitbart News visited the scene of the attack in November, and spoke to survivors of Nir Oz who also said that Palestinian civilians had joined in the attack and the looting once Hamas had breached the kibbutz boundary.

Nili Margalit, 42, on a tour of Europe to raise awareness of the 133 Israeli hostages still in captivity, told France’s Le Point magazine on Monday that it was Palestinian Arab civilians, not Hamas, who abducted her from her home in Nir Oz on Oct. 7.

“They negotiated with Hamas to sell me. When they were paid, I was taken straight into a tunnel,” she said.

“There are no innocent citizens there. They are families controlled by Hamas. There are children who from the moment they are born are taught that Israel is Palestine and just to hate Jews,” she said.

Other hostages have reported similar experiences of being sold, or being worked as slaves in Gaza, with little to eat.

The Bibas family, including one-year-old baby Kfir, are rumored to have been sold within Gaza, and their whereabouts unknown — other than the father, Yarden Bibas, who is in the custody of Hamas terrorists.

The upcoming Passover holiday (April 22-30) celebrates the freedom of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt.

Israel ready to attack Iranian nuclear sites – media

The Israeli air force is reportedly training to strike “sensitive sites”

Israel will launch strikes against Iran’s nuclear program in the event that Tehran retaliates for the recent attack on its embassy in Damascus, a London-based Arabic outlet has reported, citing an anonymous Western security official.

Two generals of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force and several other officers were killed in the Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus last week. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has vowed that Israel will “receive a slap in the face” in return.

According to Elaph News, an Arabic-language online outlet operating from the UK, Israel has been training pilots to strike “sensitive sites” in Iran, potentially ones involved in Tehran’s nuclear program.

Elaph’s report was picked up by British tabloid The Sun, which posted a list of possible Israeli targets, ranging from the Arak heavy-water reactor and the Bushehr nuclear power station to the Gachin uranium mine and the Natanz uranium enrichment facility. The newspaper noted that an Israeli attack on any of them would mark an “unprecedented escalation” in the Middle East conflict.

The US “will remain supportive of Israel” and provide it with all the support, weapons, and equipment needed for this mission, a source told Elaph. US President Joe Biden has assured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Washington will stand by West Jerusalem “in all circumstances,” the source added.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has already canceled all leave and begun spoofing GPS signals, in preparation for a possible Iranian reprisal. Several US media outlets, citing American intelligence sources, have reported that Tehran intends to use ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones to strike Israeli infrastructure once the Islamic holy month of Ramadan is over.

“Be certain, be sure, that the Iranian response to the targeting of the consulate in Damascus is definitely coming against Israel,” Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said in a speech last Friday.

CNN, on the other hand, cited anonymous American spies who said Iran was “unlikely” to strike directly out of fear of US and Israeli retaliation, and would rely on various proxies in the region instead.
