In "Civil War", there's very little overt iconography, or rallying visuals, generally. Anon supposes that keeps attention on the individuals and their journeys. We watch them as individuals, not as pieces on a flag-draped chessboard.

Even the military vehicles are stripped bare. No flags. "Western Forces" sport only a simple, identifying acronym:
