It's not that it isn't recommended, but when scientists try to do serious research on it that requires massive funding and time, it is ignored by Big Pharma. So it just took a lot longer than normal for the massively beneficial results to come out. Doesn't help that MSM ignores it too because they are sponsored by Big Pharma, and Aspirin is super cheap.
