Happy #SupermanDay! Actor Jackie Cooper served in the Navy during World War II and was still active in the Navy Reserve when he began playing Perry White in the 1978-1987 SUPERMAN films. He retired as a captain in 1982 and later directed episodes of the SUPERBOY TV series.
