Wikipedia Founder Says Website Is Corrupted By NPR’s Katherine Maher, Who May Have Worked With Intel Agencies.

Larry Sanger, the co-founder of Wikipedia, says the massive open-source online encyclopedia is likely ideologically corrupted due to the efforts of its former chief executive, Katherine Maher. Maher led the Wikimedia Foundation, which oversees the online resource, before she was hired as the CEO of NPR.

“For the ex-CEO of Wikipedia to say that it was somehow a mistake for Wikipedia to be ‘free and open,’ that it led to bad consequences—my jaw is on the floor,” Sanger told the Manhattan Institute’s Christopher F. Rufo. He added: “I can’t say I’m terribly surprised that she thinks it, but I am surprised that she would say it.”

Maher, during her tenure as the head of the Wikimedia Foundation, told the Atlantic Council that she “took a very active approach to disinformation” and “through conversations with government” targeted what she deemed misinformation. Sanger, responding to Maher‘s claim, acknowledged that she likely worked with U.S. intelligence agencies to suppress political dissenters.

‘PROBABLY THE CIA.’

“We know that there is a lot of backchannel communication and I think it has to be the case that the Wikimedia Foundation now, probably governments, probably the CIA, have accounts that they control, in which they actually exert their influence,” Sanger said, continuing: “And it’s fantastic, in a bad way, that she actually comes out against the system for being ‘free and open.'”

He added, regarding the state of Wikipedia: “When she says that she’s worked with government to shut down what they consider ‘misinformation,’ that, in itself, means that it’s no longer free and open.”

Sanger lamented Wikipedia’s ideological capture, telling Rufo: “[It] has not just been taken over by the Left, but that it has been co-opted by and working with the government, is just—that’s not a thing I would’ve imagined happening 20 years ago.”

Concerns regarding Maher’s ideological bias and the Left’s capture of important media institutions were first raised by former NPR editor Uri Berliner. The veteran journalist resigned from the taxpayer-funded media outlet yesterday after being suspended by Maher.

China Demands Apple Remove WhatsApp, Threads, Signal, & Telegram from App Store… Apple Caves.

China’s Cyberspace Administration has demanded that Apple pull four popular messaging apps from its China-based App Store over national security concerns. WhatsApp and Threads, owned by Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta, along with Signal and Telegram, could circumvent China’s ‘Great Firewall’ via virtual private networks.

“We are obligated to follow the laws in the countries where we operate, even when we disagree. The Cyberspace Administration of China ordered the removal of these apps from the China storefront based on their national security concerns,” Apple confirmed in a statement.

The takedowns come as the Chinese Embassy in the United States is lobbying Congress directly over the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications bill. Passed by the House of Representatives but still requiring Senate approval, the bill would require ByteDance, the China-based parent company of TikTok, to divest from the social media app or be banned from operating in the U.S.

The Chinese regime, which denies controlling TikTok, insists its intervention is “not about lobbying for a single company but about whether all Chinese companies can be treated fairly.”

Chinese state-owned entities own “golden shares” in ByteDance, giving Chinese Communist Party apparatchiks veto power on its board.

Tyranny by the Numbers: The Government Wants Your Money Any Way It Can Get It

Through increasing national debt, excessive taxation, wasteful spending, and deteriorating economic policies, the American dream has turned into a financial nightmare.

The government wants your money.

It will beg, steal or borrow if necessary, but it wants your money any way it can get it.

This is what comes of those $1.2 trillion spending bills: someone’s got to foot the bill for the government’s fiscal insanity, and that “someone” is the U.S. taxpayer.

The government’s schemes to swindle, cheat, scam, and generally defraud taxpayers of their hard-earned dollars have run the gamut from wasteful pork barrel legislation, cronyism and graft to asset forfeiture, costly stimulus packages, and a national security complex that continues to undermine our freedoms while failing to making us any safer.

Americans have also been made to pay through the nose for the government’s endless wars, subsidization of foreign nations, military empire, welfare state, roads to nowhere, bloated workforce, secret agencies, fusion centers, private prisons, biometric databases, invasive technologies, arsenal of weapons, and every other budgetary line item that is contributing to the fast-growing wealth of the corporate elite at the expense of those who are barely making ends meet—that is, we the taxpayers.

According to the number crunchers with the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, in order to spend money it doesn’t have on programs it can’t afford, the government is borrowing roughly $6 billion a day.

Basically, the U.S. government is funding its existence with a credit card.

Let’s talk numbers, shall we?

The national debt (the amount the federal government has borrowed over the years and must pay back) is more than $34 trillion and will grow another $19 trillion by 2033.

The bulk of that debt has been amassed over the past two decades, thanks in large part to the fiscal shenanigans of four presidents, 10 sessions of Congress and two wars.

It’s estimated that the amount this country owes is now 130% greater than its gross domestic product (all the products and services produced in one year by labor and property supplied by the citizens).

In other words, the government is spending more than it brings in.

The U.S. ranks as the 12th most indebted nation in the world, with much of that debt owed to the Federal Reserve, large investment funds and foreign governments, namely, Japan and China.

Interest payments on the national debt are more than $395 billion, which is significantly more than the government spends on veterans’ benefits and services, and according to Pew Research Center, more than it will spend on elementary and secondary education, disaster relief, agriculture, science and space programs, foreign aid, and natural resources and environmental protection combined.

According to the Committee for a Reasonable Federal Budget, the interest we’ve paid on this borrowed money is “nearly twice what the federal government will spend on transportation infrastructure, over four times as much as it will spend on K-12 education, almost four times what it will spend on housing, and over eight times what it will spend on science, space, and technology.”

In ten years, those interest payments will exceed our entire military budget.

This is financial tyranny.

Israel’s Ben Gvir Calls for Executing Palestinians to Make More Room in Prisons

Ben Gvir is in charge of Israeli prisons as the national security minister

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has called for the execution of Palestinians to make room in Israel’s overcrowded prisons.

Ben Gvir, leader of the hardline Jewish Power party, said he was happy that the Israeli government approved a construction plan to expand prisons but said the best solution would be the death penalty.

“The additional construction will allow the prison service to take in more terrorists, and will bring a partial solution to the prison crisis that exists in the Shabak,” Ben Gvir wrote on X. “The death penalty for terrorists is the right solution to the incarceration problem, until then – glad that the government approved the proposal I brought.”

According to Middle East Eye, the Israeli Public Defender’s Office published a report that said some Israeli prisons have been declared in a state of emergency due to “intolerable overcrowding” and poor conditions. Thousands of Palestinians have been detained in Gaza since October 7, and many have reported severe abuse.

As Israel’s national security minister, Ben Gvir oversees the Israeli Prison Service. He has been pushing for a bill that would mandate the death penalty for Palestinians found guilty of terrorism in Israeli courts.

Ben Gvir is also in charge of Israeli police and border police. Back in February, he said Israeli forces should be able to shoot Palestinian women and children in Gaza who get too close to the border. “We cannot have women and children getting close to the border… anyone who gets near must get a bullet [in his head],” he said.

Planned Parenthood Performed More Abortions Despite Decrease In Patients, Latest Report Shows

Planned Parenthood performed more abortions in 2021 and 2022 despite a massive decrease in patients, according to its latest annual report.

The country’s largest abortion provider reported that it performed 392,715 abortions in the fiscal year ending in fall 2022.

That total is more than 18,000, or 5% higher, than the number of abortions performed the previous year, according to an analysis by the Charlotte Lozier Institute. It’s also a 20% increase over the organization’s past 10 annual reports.

Abortions made up more than 97% of Planned Parenthood’s pregnancy resolution services. Prenatal care, miscarriage care, and adoption referrals made up the other less than 3%. All in all, the abortion provider performed 228 abortions for every adoption referral, a higher ratio than each of the past 10 years.

“Planned Parenthood’s business is abortion, abortion and more abortion,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.

“Their annual report shocks the conscience, showing that they ended nearly 393,000 American lives in a single year. This puts abortions performed by Planned Parenthood in the top four leading causes of death in the United States, after heart disease, cancer and COVID-19,” Dannenfelser said.

The annual reports “consistently provide solid evidence that Planned Parenthood continues to prioritize abortion,” said Michael New, a social scientist and senior associate scholar at the Charlotte Lozier Institute, which analyzed the report.

While abortions were spiking, Planned Parenthood was serving fewer patients.

The report shows a total of 2.05 million patients over this period, 80,000 fewer people than the previous year.

Since 2010, Planned Parenthood’s total services have plummeted 17%.

Prenatal services are down 80% since peaking in 2009, and contraceptive services are down 39%. Cancer prevention services, which include breast exams and pap tests, have declined by 71%.

Despite the decrease in patients and services, however, the abortion giant’s total revenue and taxpayer funding have climbed.

Planned Parenthood reported more than $2 billion in income in its latest annual report, an increase from the previous year.

Taxpayer funding has increased 43% since 2010, reaching $699.3 million in the latest report, nearly $2 million a day, and making up 34% of the organization’s total revenue.

The abortion provider also experienced a huge 44% jump in private donations for a total of $997.5 million.

Planned Parenthood’s total revenue over expenses was $178.6 million.

Pregnant women who walk into Planned Parenthood are “sold an abortion” 97% of the time rather than “helped to keep their child,” and meanwhile the abortion provider’s political arm spends money lobbying the federal government against “commonsense policies like protecting babies born alive after failed abortions,” Dannenfelser said.

Biden Admin Announces Massive Restrictions On Alaskan Oil Reserve And Hampers Key Mining Project In One Fell Swoop

The Biden administration moved to block oil and gas activity on millions of acres of Alaskan land and effectively rejected a road project needed to mine large reserves of copper in the state on Friday, Bloomberg News reported.

The Department of the Interior (DOI) finalized a plan that will restrict future oil leasing and development on about half of the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A), an area in the state’s north approximately the size of Indiana first designated by former President Warren Harding as an emergency source of fuel for the U.S. Navy, according to Bloomberg News. The DOI also moved to all but shoot down the Ambler Access Project, a previously-approved proposal for a mining company to build a 211-mile long road needed to mine copper reserves potentially worth billions of dollars.

“I am proud that my Administration is taking action to conserve more than 13 million acres in the Western Arctic and to honor the culture, history, and enduring wisdom of Alaska Natives who have lived on and stewarded these lands since time immemorial,” President Joe Biden said in a Friday statement. “My administration will continue to take ambitious action to meet the urgency of the climate crisis, protect America’s lands and waters, and fulfill our responsibility to the next generation of Americans.”

The DOI’s plan will designate approximately 13 million of the NPR-A’s 23 million acres as “special areas” where future oil development will be limited, and leasing will be blocked altogether on nearly 11 million acres, according to Bloomberg News. The measure will apply to existing leases in the covered areas, but it will not affect contract terms or already-approved operations under those contracts like ConocoPhillips’ massive Willow Project.

Meanwhile, the DOI also formally recommended against building the Ambler Access Project on the grounds that it would “significantly and irrevocably impact resources, including those supporting important subsistence uses, in ways that cannot be adequately mitigated,” according to Bloomberg News. The Trump administration initially improved the roadway, which would be essential for Ambler Metals to mine copper deposits potentially worth more than $7.5 billion, but the Biden administration effectively scrapped their predecessors’ analysis and initiated a fresh review process upon coming into office, according to The New York Times.

The Ambler Access Project decision may undermine the president’s green energy agenda, as the copper reserves in question could be used in products like wind turbines, transmission lines and photovoltaic cells. China generally dominates the global supply chain and refining capacity for many of the essential raw materials needed to construct green technologies that the Biden administration is aggressively promoting.

Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Thursday night that Iran would launch an intense response if Israel struck Iranian soil in retaliation for Iran’s unprecedented attack on Israel last week.

Antisemitism watchdog group urges Meta to keep ban on the word ‘shaheed’

Under the current policy, Meta removes “shaheed” when it is used to reference to people it believes are dangerous.

A prominent antisemitism watchdog pushed back on a recommendation by Meta Platform's oversight board to allow the term "shaheed" to be used on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.

“The recommendation by Meta’s Oversight Board could be seen as giving a green light for the glorification of murder,” Combat Antisemitism Movement CEO Sacha Roytman said. “This term is used to honor those who murder, maim, and terrorize people around the world and allowing its usage sends entirely the wrong signal, that this word is used in acceptable and non-violent discourse, which it is not.”

According to the Collins Dictionary, the term "shaheed" is another term for "martyr."

Meta has banned the use of the term prior to 2020. But in 2023, the oversight board announced that it would look into how it approached the term.

Under the current policy, Meta removes “shaheed” when it is used to refer to people it believes are dangerous.

Helle Thorning-Schmidt, a member of the Meta oversight board, said that the current policy is "overbroad and disproportionately restricts freedom of expression and civic discourse,” USA Today reports.

The Combat Antisemitism Movement argues that Meta keep the policy in place, saying the term is "used to honor those who murder, maim, and terrorize people around the world and allowing its usage sends entirely the wrong signal, that this word is used in acceptable and non-violent discourse, which it is not.”

'We broke into IDF, hold quarter of a million documents,' hacker group Anonymous claims

Pro-Palestinian hackers allege that after penetrating the Justice Ministry, they now possess 20 gigabytes of data, including nearly a quarter-million documents related to the Israeli military.

The hacker organization Anonymous issued a statement on Friday stating that it has hacked into the IDF and will reportedly showcase purported military documents. It also claims control over 20 gigabytes of data, encompassing over 233,000 documents, including PDFs, Word files, PowerPoint presentations, and more.

The hackers' accompanying video displays excerpts from PowerPoint presentations featuring IDF personnel, with slides bearing logos of General Staff departments. The authenticity of the documents in the video remains uncertain.

According to IDF security assessments, the likelihood of an actual breach is minimal, suggesting a possible "psychological warfare" tactic by the hackers. The IDF's computer system is tightly secured and classified at various levels. If a breach did occur, it's improbable that access extended directly to IDF computers; instead, files may have been obtained from civilian computers, potentially breaching regulations.

The Israeli public was urged to avoid clicking on suspicious links and to report any indications of cyberattacks.

Leaders of major US Jewish orgs pen letter to Congress imploring passage of foreign aid bills

US Jewish groups urge Congress to support Israel with $26B aid, stressing shared security needs and threats.

Congress must meet the urgency of the moment and support its ally Israel, leadership from the Anti-Defamation League, AIPAC, American Jewish Committee, Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organization and Jewish Federations of North America say in a letter to members of Congress on Friday morning written after the vote for the national security supplemental bills was set for Saturday.

The bill is set to provide Israel with more than $26 billion of military and security aid.

"We write to urge your support for vital assistance of our ally, Israel," the letter says. "It is past time for the House of Representatives to address the urgent security needs of the United States and key allies."

The letter continues to state that "We believe the aid package before you will garner bipartisan support and be signed by the President of the United States.

Israel's territorial integrity and sovereignty were challenged on October 7 and the world's only Jewish state is now facing a generational existential crisis, the letter says.

The letter goes on to say the unprecedented events last weekend where Iran fired more than 320 attack drones and missiles directly at Israel further demonstrates the continued danger Israel faces.

These same Iranian-made drones are being launched by Russia at US ally Ukraine, also in its fight for survival.

"The US and Israel share common enemies who are watching to see whether we stand up for our ally. We must not delay or stand on the sidelines," the letter says.

"We urge you to support this vital assistance before the House of Representatives because it protects US national security interests, affirms our commitment to our ally Israel and demonstrates America's essential global standing."

Andrew Bridgen calls on UK government to immediately suspend all mRNA treatments in both humans and animals

Mr. Bridgen put forward a motion in Parliament for the Covid Inquiry to open its Module 4 on the safety and efficacy of the experimental covid-19 injections as soon as possible.

On 12 January, the UK Covid Inquiry announced that public hearings for the Inquiry’s fourth investigation into vaccines and therapeutics, Module 4, was being rescheduled. The hearings were originally scheduled to take place in the summer of 2024. “They will now take place at a later date,” the Inquiry’s website states.

Three days later, Mr. Bridgen mentioned the Covid Inquiry’s decision during a debate saying he felt Module 4 had been delayed as “political pressure has been placed on the inquiry” due to upcoming general elections.

Introducing the motion for the Inquiry to open Module 4 yesterday, Mr. Bridgen began: “We are witnesses to the greatest medical scandal in this country in living memory, and possibly ever: the excess deaths in 2022 and 2023. Its causes are complex, but the novel and untested medical treatment described as a covid vaccine is a large part of the problem.”

Officials are hiding key data in this scandal. The Office for National Statistics used to release weekly data on deaths per 100,000 in vaccinated and unvaccinated populations, but it no longer does so. “The public have the right to that data”, Mr, Bridgen said.

Serious experts have called for record-level data to be anonymised and disclosed for analysis which would settle whether experimental treatments are responsible for the increase in excess deaths. As Mr. Bridgen noted, more extensive and detailed data has already been released to pharmaceutical companies from publicly funded bodies. However, Professor Jenny Harries, head of the UK Health Security Agency, said that this anonymised, aggregate death by vaccination status data is “commercially sensitive” and should not be published. “The public are being denied that data, which is unacceptable,” he said.

Mr. Bridgen also mentioned that Harries had endorsed a massive change to the calculation of of the baseline population level used by the ONS to calculate excess deaths. Due to this change, “some 20,000 premature deaths in 2023 alone are now being airbrushed away,” he said.

Mr. Bridgen spoke about the “shocking things” that happened during the covid pandemic reponse: the misuse of “do not resuscitate” (“DNR”) orders, treatment protocols and the basis on which deaths were attributed to covid and to vaccines:

In March 2020, the Government conducted a consultation exercise on whether people over a certain age or with certain disabilities should have “do not resuscitate” orders, known as DNRs, imposed upon them. A document summarising the [DNR] proposals was circulated to doctors and hospitals; it was mistakenly treated as formal policy by a number of care homes and GPs up and down the country, who enacted it. At the same time, multiple hospitals introduced a policy that they would not admit patients with DNRs, because they thought that they would be overwhelmed. The result was that people died who did not need to die while nurses performed TikTok dances.

The average time to death from experiencing covid symptoms and testing positive was 18 days. It is a little-known fact that the body clears all the viruses within around seven days; what actually kills people is that some, especially the vulnerable, have an excessive immune response. Doctors have been treating that response for decades with steroids, antibiotics for secondary pneumonia infections and other standard protocols, but they did not do so this time. Even though the virus was long gone, doctors abandoned the standard clinical protocols because covid was a ‘new virus’ -which it was not. They sent people home, told them to take paracetamol until their lips turned blue, and then when those people returned to hospital, they sedated them, put them on ventilators and watched them die.

The protocol for covid-19 treatment was a binary choice between two treatment tracks. Once admitted, ill patients were either ventilated in intensive care or—if they were not fit for that level of care—given end of life medication, including midazolam and morphine … Giving midazolam and morphine to people dying of cancer is reasonable, but there is a side effect, which is that those drugs have a respiratory depressant effect. It is hard to imagine a more stupid thing to do than giving a respiratory suppressant to someone who is already struggling to breathe with the symptoms of covid-19, but that is exactly what we did.

West plotting to assassinate Zelensky – Medvedev

Polish claims of a thwarted “Russian plot” against the Ukrainian president are a warning sign, the senior official believes

Allegations that a Polish man was plotting with Moscow to assassinate Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky are a sign that Kiev’s Western backers want to “liquidate” the Ukrainian leader, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has claimed.

On Thursday, Polish officials reported the arrest of a man who is accused of trying to provide sensitive information to the Russian intelligence services. The information could have been used in an attempt to kill Zelensky, Warsaw and Kiev have claimed.

“An attempt on the life of the chief Banderite [Zelensky] in Poland? That is truly serious,” Medvedev, who serves as deputy head of the Russian Security Council, wrote on social media on Friday in response to the claims.

“It may be the first piece of evidence that people in the West have made a decision to liquidate him. Be afraid, clown!”

The term ‘Banderite’ refers to the Ukrainian nationalist movement of Stepan Bandera, which was responsible for the ethnic cleansing of Poles during World War II. The Nazi collaborator is considered a national hero in modern Ukraine.

The Polish citizen, identified as Pawel K. by the National Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, faces up to eight years in jail if convicted on charges of attempting to work with a foreign power against national interests.

Specifically, Pawel K. is accused of trying to share information with Moscow about Rzeszow–Jasionka Airport in southeastern Poland. The facility is used to ship weapons and munitions that NATO members donate to Ukraine to fight Russia.

Polish officials, however, have claimed that his tips could “among other things” have helped Moscow plan a hit on Zelensky during a visit to Poland. Kiev’s successor to the KGB, the SBU, repeated the allegations in a statement of its own.

Warsaw has claimed Pawel K. was in contact with Russian nationals who are “directly involved” in the Ukraine conflict. Polish authorities were tipped off about the alleged threat by Ukrainian security services.

Zelensky has told Western media that Russia has been trying to kill him for years, with multiple attempts prevented by his security detail.

However, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said that Russian President Vladimir Putin personally assured him in March 2022 that Moscow would not kill Zelensky.
