BREAKING: Congressman Matt Gaetz (

@mattgaetz

) wins, as the Biden administration tells Niger it will be pulling abandoned US troops out.

Gaetz writes, “Today, the Biden Administration has announced they will be pulling 1,100 troops out of Niger following my report earlier this week. For too long, the Biden administration has allowed our troops in Niger to languish while it has tried to coverup reality and avoid embarrassment. This is yet another extraordinary Biden foreign policy failure.

“I fear the administration will handle this withdrawal similarly to the withdrawal from Afghanistan. The safety and security of all service members must be our top priority in this time of transition. I look forward to the administration’s thorough brief on the basis for this decision and their plan for the path forward, our troops deserve as much.”

👀 Tucker Carlson on Members of Congress Being Controlled by the Intel Agencies

"They're worried about someone putting kiddie p*rn on their computer. Members of Congress are terrified of the intel agencies. I'm not guessing at that. They've told me that, including people on the intel committee, including people who run the intel committee. The people whose job it is to oversee and keep in line, these enormous secretive agencies whose budgets we can't even know, their black budgets…They're afraid of the agencies."

Matt's district is home to one of the SF groups.

Niger has SF deployed not sure I know which group, but, they are there. So assumed he got notified and it's not just SF there - its also USAF and other support.

So glad this got exposed and they are at least exposed to move them out of there.

Bring them all home, now.

Someone like Katherine Maher being on the board of the Signal Foundation is far more concerning.

> been there at the request of Macrone.

Not, from what I recall, General Dunford stepped to the mic and stated that we had troops in Niger and Chad looking for rogue missiles (maybe manpads?) that went into the bush after the Libya debacle. (Hillary and Benghazi)

There was some serious outrage we had Green Berets killed there and no one knew why we were in that part of Africa.

Someone more skilled can probably find that press conference.

When the Libyan regime of Colonel Muammar Qadhafi fell last year, its weapon stockpiles were looted and dispersed throughout Libya and beyond. Of the thousands of arms the regime stored, approximately 10,000 man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) are still unaccounted for.

MANPADS have the capacity to down commercial jetliners, are easily concealed, and, if obtained by actors hostile to U.S. interests, pose an international security threat that U.S. leadership could not ignore.
