We left no stone unturned and no path h explored.

In the end, it still wasn’t enough.

Congrats to my colleagues in the House and Senate for keeping the FISA program up and running at a time of increasing threats to the homeland.

This vital foreign intelligence tool is a front line response to combat terrorism and protect our national security.

Importantly, the 702 provision in FISA is limited to surveilling only foreign people on foreign soil.

As FBI Director Wray recently said about the threats we face, all ”the lights are blinking red.” If we had allowed this program to expire, we would have ended our ability to see those lights.
