8 people shot, 2 dead during Orange Mound block party, police say

 

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is investigating a shooting incident in the Orange Mound area.

 

Around 7 p.m., officers surrounded the area near Carnes Avenue and Grand.

 

When officers were on the scene, they discovered five victims had been shot.

 

Three were rushed to the hospital in critical condition and two were pronounced dead on the scene.

just heard the most incredible 70s-esque funk/soul tune on the Home Depot muzak system. Got home and google the lyrics and can't find it anywhere…just a bunch of hip-hop crap with a similar name.

 

lyrics: "…cantcha see….baby-baby cantcha see…" is all I got of the chorus.

 

I say 70's-esque, because it was def in that mold, but had something of more recent vocal edge to it. Lots of vocal layers; incredible arrangement from what I can tell.
