Noah and the Flood
11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence.
12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.
13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.
14 So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out.
The story of Noah is a remake of the Epic of Gilgamesh and Alta Hasis which predate the Torah. The reason in general is that they were re-telling how there is actually only one god behind all the aspects of nature and creation than what polytheistic traditions were saying in their origin stories like the story of Chronos, Zeus, Prometheus and Pandora's box. which are harder to explain.
Monotheism simplified the ancient traditions and wisdom being passed down to an easier explanation of creation. The Torah was just jews, then absorbed by others. The Enuma Elish predates the Torah. Was absorbed by monotheists who corrected it from many gods to just one god being behind it all. Probably Zoroastrians. Monotheism is a more efficient way of carrying down intelligent teachings and traditions considering the madness of polytheism and it's many god's , stories, ritual ceremonies and temples.
Just like polytheists had many gods and ceremonies that were like a template all languages and cultures followed in which their gods might line up like names of planets, the monotheists also now always have the one god of creation that is behind all the aspects of nature. It's a simplified, updated and advanced tradition of traditions.
The Nephilim and Annunaki for example come directly from the history of humanity and the archaeological records. Carved in stone thousands of years ago before the Torah, they were talking about the sky god of thunder and lightning in the Anu. Many lines in the bible that reflect people being confused by "which god" are they actually worshiping. After Monotheism, no more confusion in that manner. It's always referred to as the god of creation first than anything.. Anyways, I took the pot.

Yes, the giants are in the traditions of the Sumerians. Basically the beginning of civilization and recorded history with the creation of the alphabet which for them is Cuneiform. Most likely, people got the idea of real giants because of Mammoth bones that could be seen like areas in Greece that had ancient writers talking about the Cyclops.

I've heard it another way where it is said 'the words of god float over the waters and creates' but how this is the reality is through the expressive writings made by the alphabet that magically we would read and start getting the pictures in our heads about the stuff we are reading and that the truth that is always there in the creation that we uncover through intelligent investigation and the sciences that explain to us the works of god and how the world, humanity and the universe have been created down to the particles, molecules and atoms that once upon a time the wisest of the wise, had no idea existed. The word of god is wisdom and light.
Magic is not real. It's illusions deceptions, parlor tricks. Real magic has to do with getting people to do what you want them to do physically. Real spell casting has to do more with words and being a good salesman than anything else. These are the real magicians and the people who say things like 'never let a good crisis go to waste' and 'there's a sucker born every minute'. These people follow different set of instructions that are antithetical to wisdom. The dark side of the force.
God is real and it's in you. In your mind and spirit being the point. You choose, but choose wisely or your game will end sooner than you might expect. Wisdom is about surviving. Without teachings, education, instruction, you will be a naturally bad person because we are born Tabula Rasa, blank, not knowing anything. Do you remember what you were thinking about when you were ten years old? Probably playing with G.I.Joes and Barbie. What about when you were twenty? Drinking, smoking, fooling around. Only later do you become a little wiser. What you learn through the lamps of the body that are the eyes, will fill your mind and spirit. Like bad things, bad news reports all day and night and one without light will be quickly filled with darkness. Try to look for good things and fill your hearts with that instead.
Yes, but the point is the jewish kosher laws. This is where they say you can be defiled by something you eat, like pig or bacon, I think BUGS is another one. This teaching coming from Jesus is about loosening up because like the circumcision arguments what is important is that people follow the law whether they are cut or not. In this case it's taken into account that there are others that are not jewish and that might eat anything. And they are not bad or defiled because of it. You would be bad because of the things that come out of your mouth or things you create and produce like maybe problems for others, instead of being a problem solver and a person of service.
There was a time when god of the temple of Israel was just for jews. During the times after Alexander the Great, the region became multicultural. The jews have many laws against foreigners. Jesus is part of the jews that were apostolic and not doing what the jewish orthodoxy was traditionalising, at least anymore. And the destruction of the temple also made it impossible for jews to continue their ceremonies. Jesus becomes the savior from being destroyed by showing a way to continue without the physical temple and to include the world as the people god created. God created everyone now not just jews and that the rest were not of that line. It gets corrected with Jesus.
There is a progressive history where once upon a time there was the Ark of Noah, then the Tablets of the Ten Commandments and the Ark of the Covenant. With it the first mobile temple, the Tabernacle that was a tent like Bedouin. Then came the conquest of the lands of the Canaanites. Then the formation of Israel and the Temple designed by David but built by Solomon. Destroyed by Babylonian ruler Nebuchadnezzar II…etc. The only parts that are re-written stories are the ones in Genesis and partly in some of the earlier books as they weave other traditions that were older into their updated writings. I mean this is very old and extremely intelligent on the epic story angle alone. It should be noted. And of course they are trying to not only tell their own history but also retell how the begining is just one god, not to mention the aspects of god that get revealed through the expressive devotional writings that are taking into account other cultures good information and continuing on with them.
Like the roman arch, JUPITER and other things the romans absorbed what was intelligent. The greeks and the zodiac that came from sumerians on and on.
Any temple that gets built by the jews will be destroyed. Even in prophecy. It could be because Islam makes their temple at Mecca the one temple to the one god and they are rabbinical, but makes no sense to say that god lives in both houses if there was another temple. They would probably be the ones behind the destruction since they are the ones that traditionally for more than a thousand years have been trying to conquer the land and keep it, as history will show no other place in the world that has had more armies trampling it's sandy ground that is soiled in blood and banners than the 'spoke of the wheel' in the middle east.
That's the problem is that you can't have one temple as the only temple for one god one temple, if there is another. They will fight over the temple. We want no part, we are the temple and like Jesus said, might have been a house of prayer, the house of the father, but it had turned into a den of vipers. Like John the Baptist famously told the elites that came down to take on the new fad of baptism from him, Luke 3:7, “You brood of vipers,” John used to say to the crowds who came out to be baptized by him. “Who told you to escape from the coming anger?

Yes, similar. It seems to be a cycle and much of the content in the bibles stories all together. Good jews that follow the instructions and the jews who stray away from the path, that some have been killed off. Many stories in the bible revolve a great deal around other jews or people that might be connected to them that are not going along with the leadership like, today's government. Where the people of law and authority have been corrupted. It's all in there like why they say to love your enemies, because usually they are your family, friends, your country, not really the enemies in some distant battlefield. Take the christians for example. They are founded in jews who were now working with others like greeks and romans. It's part of the teachings and wisdom'patterns of teachings that one could pick up from going through the stories. Like the book of Ezekiel. Some others in the books of Kings like Solomon. The exile and how the jews split after Solomon. The cycles. Over and over again that prophecy doesn't come from magic but learning the pattern of history.
We all share the same ancestors and our ancestors are not our enemies. They left us much teachings and warning and instructions so it would make our lives easier to live by suffering less and living more. Religion is what frames a culture. Religion is tradition. And through the many traditional stories people would get the most basic form of education through story telling. Religion says what is taboo or not that then a culture ends up building within like if the rules of the religion sets the boundaries. Without religion you get no human intelligence.
