I wasn't following your conversation so I don't mean this personally against you, it's more about people in general. Many will say "If a person is truly receptive to wanting to learn the Truth, I am more than eager to discuss it with them" but what they mean is "their" Truth. They only want to discuss what THEY consider the Truth.
It's just like many who say they love liberty. They think they do, but they don't. What they love is a dictatorship that agrees with them. If they agree with/like it, everyone should be "free" to do it, if they don't like it, it should be illegal, and even if it's not you should get arrested for doing it anyway. That's the "liberty" some love.
