The sheriff did not have the authority to do this without evidence being presented and without notifying you so you could present your evidence or at least take care of it. If you didn't handle it, it is on you. Otherwise the sheriff conduct is suspect to bias & prejudice. You have to handle this quick or they will say your non-reaction is confirmation.
It is dangerous to live where sheriffs do this. you could be dead before their motives are exposed.
