We could not save ourselves, so God humbled Himself and took on a human form and did it for us.
The wages of sin is death. But God paid the penalty for us.

God is Three in One. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
You can bring that up with God if you have a problem with it. Or you can confer with Satan and ask him why people were sacrificing their babies to him.
