Taking a break from all the junk of the world for a minute or two…ahhhh 1978
In the mid-70's Walter Egan had a crush on Stevie Nicks and wrote the song Magnet and Steel about her. Then he managed to get her to sing backing vocals when he recorded the song. Lindsay Buckingham also provided the lower note background vocals on the song (Stevie sang the higher notes and Annie McLoone the middle) to provide excellent harmonies.
Now I told you so you ought to know
(Oh) it takes some time for a feelin' to grow
(Oh) but you're so close now I can't let you go
(Oh) and I can't let go
With you I'm not shy, to show the way I feel
With you I might try, my secrets to reveal
For you are a magnet and I am steel
I can't hope that I'll hold you for long
(Oh) you're a woman who's lost to your song
(Oh) but the love that I feel is so strong
(Oh) and it can't be wrong
With you I'm not shy, to show the way I feel
With you I might try, my secrets to reveal
For you are a magnet and I am steel
With you I'm not shy, to show the way I feel
With you I might try, my secrets to reveal
For you are a magnet and I am steel
For you are a magnet and I am steel
For you are a magnet and I am steel
For you are a magnet and I am steel
For you are a magnet and I am steel
