I believe you are incorrect because when the board was 'nerfed' as you say, it was summertme and the board went away for a bunch of months till november.
I have posts from April of 2019 screen capped and that was the month following the Christchurch shooting (?) (or was it a hoax?)
so I believe it was El Paso that resulted in the board being taken down.
