No problem. Now you have that sorted, you'll see a window on the right when you click on a plane. in that window you'll see a link called Flightaware.
If you click that, it opens the Flightaware site and tries to show you the flight tracking. I find that FA works better for long-distance stuff, as ADS-B can get shaky when you are out in the sticks or hundreds of miles from a shoreline. Flightaware tries to fill in the gaps using M-LAT data instead of ADS-B. Flightaware is also great for checking airport arrivals tables or looking at flight history.
Finally, there is Flightradar24. I use this when I want to see a specific type of aircraft, such as helicopters. Using the filter and using 'EC' as the search, I can see all Eurocopters in the air and clicking on them can give useful info about who the owner or operator is.
Using ADS-B Exchange with 'Species' and 'Helicopter' as the filter does pretty much the same.
Does this mean that we have a new cadet Planefag?
