The Hebrews and the people of Moses were simply persecuted for a simple reason btw, they were outnumbering the native Egyptians and wouldn't leave. So the Egyptians had to start killing the Sons because the Hebrews wouldn't leave. So it was a migrant overpopulation issue even back in those days. It wasn't necessarily because of their God (of Abraham); in fact the Pharaohs highly respected God in History, as Joseph was given the 2nd position highest authority after the Pharaoh over Egypt during his time.
