I watched a video of occupiers bullying and harassing a student trying to walk across campus. They flashed lights into his face, threatened violence, making ridiculous accusations like “causing trouble". This reminds me very strongly of a wifebeater who says “look at what you’re making me do” before committing violence against her. The student is trying to walk, as they interfere, and are the only ones acting aggressively while accusing him of existing. Something of note, they are the oppressors, but they use the rhetoric of the oppressed. They talk this big game of “free palestine”, but what do they do in their actions? They turn the college campus into an open air prison, restrict peoples’s free travel, form blockades and militarized checkpoints, and in general do the very same things they criticize Israel of doing. I’m critical of the same, I just wish people would stop killing each other on both sides. The occupiers have no moral high ground to criticize the Israeli government, when they do the exact same thing. They are the pot calling the kettle black. The only people who have any room to criticize either side are the frat boys waving the American flag. Not the Israeli of Palestinian flag, but the American flag.
