Robert Kraft had a short, expletive-laden message for Vladimir Putin on Sunday night during โ€œThe Roast of Tom Bradyโ€ on Netflix.

โ€œAnd one more thing, in case Vladimir Putin, youโ€™re watching, give me my (expletive) ring back, will ya?โ€ Kraft said. The video of the comment was not posted due to the language used.

Kraft claimed that the Russian president stole his Super Bowl ring back in 2005.

The incident took place after the Patriots beat the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl XXXIX. Kraft, along with Rupert Murdoch and others, met with Putin in Russia in an attempt to โ€œstimulate commerce between the United States and Russia,โ€ according to Boston.com

According to the report, the group met with Putin at Konstantinovsky Palace near St. Petersburg, where then-Citigroup president Sandy Weill suggested that Kraft show the politician his $25,000 4.94-carat ring.

โ€œI took out the ring and showed it to [Putin], and he put it on and he goes, โ€˜I can kill someone with this ring,โ€™โ€ Kraft said in 2013, via the โ€œNew York Post.โ€

โ€œI put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out.โ€

Chaffetz came to prominence in 2015 for his extensive investigations into Hillary Clinton. He rescinded his endorsement of Donald Trump in early October 2016 but expressed his intent to vote for him three weeks later. Having investigated Clinton and the Obama administration extensively, Chaffetz drew criticism after the 2016 election for declining to investigate potential conflicts of interest relating to President Donald Trump, and that of other individuals involved in his 2016 presidential campaign and subsequent presidential administration.

He resigned from office in 2017, six months into his fifth Congressional term, and has since been a commentator, Fox News contributor, and author. In 2021 Chaffetz joined the Government Accountability Institute.[2]
