What good is a billionaire’s superyacht if it doesn’t make heads turn and jaws drop? Thankfully, this American tech tycoon’s new luxury vessel is all that, and one glimpse is enough to make one understand why it will be talked about for a long time to come. Project ELF, now known as Arwen, is the amalgamation of global greats like U.S. design firm Píndaros for exterior and interior, with French studio Champeau Wilde and British designer Andy Waugh. Dutch outfit Azure handles the exceptional naval architecture, and Dörries supervises the build in Bremerhaven, Germany.
The 374ft Project Arwen is a mammoth-in-the-making that will rule the high seas not only for its sheer size of a cool 4,950 GT, but also for the atmosphere created inside the floating asset. First things first, Arwen will boast several cool features and elements like a spiral staircase that looks like a striking monolith, a very expansive main saloon with bay windows, and a mezzanine level that will remind you of a Four Seasons Hotel lobby, and the most outstanding outdoor spaces. But the highlight is, without a speck of doubt, the 66-feet hydraulic swimming pool.
Using the technical genius of the designers to an optimum is this feature that will raise the pool to create a larger aft deck. It hardly matters if your ship is a cool 374 feet long; additional space is exciting for everyone, including a billionaire, almost like the goodies coming out of the pinata, not needed but certainly wanted!
Elsewhere, the vessel flaunts a very lavish interior, highlighted to perfection using LED lights. The spacious owner’s suite spreads a cool 3,121 sq ft with access to a foredeck lounge and dining area. Then there are more fun spaces like a lounge, office, and adjoining dressing rooms.
The ship is outfitted with entertainment amenities like an indoor and outdoor cinema, a spa facility, helipad, winter garden, and multiple bar and entertainment areas. The yacht sleeps 12 guests in six stately guest cabins on the main deck which means they will always be a part of the action and not miss out on the events of the yacht.
The design team at Pindaros says: “The pursuit of beauty is not merely a goal, but a philosophy – an aspiration to create a space that inspires, uplifts, and connects with the inherent grace of nature. Project Arwen’s design had to combine contemporary beauty and outstanding engineering, while also harmonizing with nature.”
The yacht can power along at 15 knots with a range of 5,000 nautical miles, and is being completed at Dorries Yachts shipyard’s facilities in Bremerhaven, Germany with a targeted sea date of October 2026.
