Though the Avian Flu’s current H5N1 strain is not a risk to humans, Penn State researchers expressed concern that it “may evolve and cause a human pandemic.”

They further noted that mRNA technology provides flexibility if such were to happen, allowing for mass production within hours of sequencing a particular virus strain.

In their study, mice and ferrets given the mRNA vaccine were then exposed to the virus and got infected, but “cleared the virus more rapidly and displayed fewer symptoms than unvaccinated controls.”

“All of the vaccinated animals in our study survived, whereas all of the unvaccinated animals died following the H5N1 challenge,” they said.

The vaccine targeted a specific subtype of the Avian flu referred to as H5N1 2.3.4.4.b clade.

“We remain deeply concerned about the humanitarian tragedy unfolding in Gaza. Many people are worried about their loved ones and have expressed significant interest in the temporary special measures we introduced for their extended family in Gaza,” said Miller in a statement.

“That is why, as part of our humanitarian response, we have increased the number of temporary resident visa applications that will be accepted into processing as part of these measures from 1,000 to 5,000. Over the past few weeks, we have been issuing more web codes so that clients can apply for a temporary resident visa.”

A new study from S&P Global Commodity Insights shows that Trudeau’s emissions cap will cost Canadians hundreds of billions in lost revenue and kill tens of thousands of jobs.

According to the economic impact assessment, which was commissioned by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, if left to run its own course and if the government allowed the sector to grow to just an 8% increase in production, the Canadian oil and gas sector would deliver $1.3 trillion in GDP contributions and support 383,000 Canadian jobs by 2035 annually.

Unfortunately, under the current federal government, the complete opposite is happening—the sector is being suffocated.

While the Trudeau government has said the emissions cap is simply a reduction in emissions, not necessarily a reduction in oil and gas production, that’s exactly what it entails, and economists have taken note of the havoc this will reap in the Canadian economy.

According to the study, the Trudeau government’s 40% emissions cap by 2030 will lead to a one million boe/d lower production in 2030 and a two million boe/d reduction following the 55% mandated emissions reduction by 2035.

In terms of impact, this will result in a $247 billion lower GDP contribution between the present and 2035 compared to the industry’s current trajectory, as well as scaring off $75 billion in potential investment.

And as for jobs, 51,000 will be killed in the process as the oil and gas sector reels.

The head of the British Columbia Assembly of First Nations is suggesting the bodies of residential school victims in his province may never be found — because they were incinerated.

Speaking on City News in Vancouver, Regional Chief Terry Teegee said he’s not sure the exact number of victims will ever be known due to a lack of proper record keeping by school authorities and provincial governments.

When asked how many potential graveyards there could be in BC, Teegee demurred.

“The potential? I’m not sure,” he says. “At the same time, some of these residential schools or institutions had incinerators so there could be any potential of finding any remains.”

His remarks were prefaced in the context of demanding “accurate” records from the Catholic Church and other institutions.

Teegee has been an outspoken critic of what he calls ‘residential school denialism’ and actively protested the wife of former Quesnel mayor Ron Paull for distributing copies of Grave Error: How the Media Misled Us (and the Truth about Residential Schools).

The letter from TDSB chair Rachel Chernos Lin said the director – who spent 30 years mostly with the North York Board of Education and the TDSB – was instrumental in the development of the Centre of Excellence for Black Student Achievement and modernization in the People and Culture department.

The audit, Evaluation Of Mobile Devices And Fixes Lines noted, “At the same time the service plan fees for these unused phones cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per month totaling $5.9 million in 2021 and $3 million in 2022. The average monthly cost of unused phone service plans was $253,832."

Originally from what was then eastern Poland, Savaryn served in a Ukrainian Waffen-SS unit during World War II.

Millions of Ukrainians served in the Soviet Red Army during the war, but thousands of others fought on the German side under the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS, known as the Galicia Division.
